This review is specific to Dr. Baldeep Takhar. I wished I had something complementary to say about Dr. Takhar, but I would find it difficult if not impossible. Based on the appointments I attended with my wife, I am thoroughly disappointed and would struggle to even call her a Doctor. On our one visit, it was all about the specialists not getting back to her and saying that my wife's condition, was "over her head" which was inappropriate, upsetting, and shocking that she had so little knowledge of what needed to form the treatment plan. I asked for the phone numbers of the 3 specialists that she said wouldn't get back to her, and in a very short time I had three appointments booked. The final straw was our LAST and I do mean last visit, as we were requested to come in to review my wife's discharge as she was in the hospital for 8 days at the beginning of Dec. 2022. In addition, we had been to McMaster for some specialized testing, and they were able to rule out ALS, MS and CIDP. She was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) is also called acute inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy - AIDP. Well after waiting for over an hour, let's just use the term Bum's Rush as when we finally got in, she didn't even know my wife's name and never asked one question about her time in the hospital, never inquired about the testing done at McMaster and in fact didn't ask one question pertaining to my wife's health. She did let us know, twice in fact that she was really swamped due to the 2 days of snow that somehow ruined everything for her and put her way behind. I believe we met with for all of 5 minutes and I don't think she even was listening to us as she was more concerned about us taking her precious time. She did hand my wife a requisition for some Blood Work but told her that there was no rush, and she could go in February. Once again, the reason for the appointment we were told was to discuss the Hospital Discharge. I guess she didn't get her own memo. In my opinion Dr. Takhar demonstrated complete incompetence potentially to the detriment of my wife’s already very serious health situation. In addition to being incompetent, she is so far over her head as a practicing doctor. As an aside, I arranged an appointment for my wife to meet and sign on with my Doctor and low and behold, we got together Jan. 23 and I would say our initial consultation lasted a minimum of 45 minutes with lots of questions and supporting comments, not to mention a genuine concern, which I feel is a good characteristic of any doctor. What it feels like when you go to Monarch Medical is, let's get as many patients as possible in "no matter what" and don't worry about the quality of service or God forbid, the patient care. To end things up, I wouldn't let her look after my Goldfish and maybe she should concentrate on her cosmetics.

I have been a patient of Dr D Takhar for several years she has seen me through serious neurosurgical surgery and other difficulties with compassion and care. Her office has always returned my calls and assisted me with appointments. No complaints.

Very disappointed with my experience with this practice. Unfortunate how you have to “sign a waiver” before you see how bad they are. I will not be going back and warn others to avoid signing up at all

The staff are grossly disorganized, rude at times and nobody ever answers the phone. Ever. You email and months can go by before anyone gets back to you. Patients are not able to get prescriptions refilled regularly because of this. It’s by far the worst clinic I’ve ever seen.

The worst customer service I have ever dealt with ! They just keep taking patients but can’t keep up with the ones they already have. The nurses are rude and condescending and dont even listen to you. Worst service

I recently had major surgery third week of March 2021, called the office from my hospital bed to speak directly to one of the Doctors regarding a particular medicine they had prescribed me. Never returned my call. Figured I would be a priority since I was calling from a hospital. Nope. I had to call back 6 days later, and miraculously, the Dr responded within 5 minutes. Makes me wonder if the receptionists actually pass in the messages or not. Last week, I was nearing the end of my pain pills the Dr had prescribed. Again, major surgery, lots of pain and very worried about not having a refill. Started calling the office on the Monday, and phoned every single day, begging for the Dr to refill my prescription or call me back. Nothing. The said they could give me a phone appt, a week and a half later. I told them I couldn't wait that long, because I'd be out of meds. Friday, they were closed to do vaccines and closed on weekends. My pills ran out Sunday. Called almost in tears this Monday. Phoned TWICE. Never heard back. So, needless to say, I think it's time to seek out a new Doctor. Which is a shame, Monark Medical is very handy for me, and the pharmacy attached is fabulous. But if you can't ever reach a Doctor, what's the point? I feel very dismissed and ignored right now. I was hoping I could count on the medical professionals to help me through this really difficult time in my life, when I have no one else to count on except the Doctors. They've proven they really don't give a damn. Again, could be the receptionists, but I have to feel after a week of messages, that one of those should have been passed on. My advice is to keep looking. If you want decent care and concern, and fast response time, this definitely isn't the clinic for you.

This is the worst doctors office . They refuse to help me after having suffered a miscarriage in 2016 and tell me that is it normal to have no period for 3 months when the only time i missed my period was when i had my miscarriage in 2016 and i will be 37 soon . They are idiots !! I had 2 doctors tell me 2 things — one i need to get further testing a women than a ignorant male doctor calls me today and says im ok . Im beyond mad . I called Cambridge memorial and they are shocked at the doctor for refusing to help after my history. I will be reporting the doctor i spoke to today for sure !!
