My last two dental experiences at two other facilities were fraught with indifferent attitudes and unnecessarily painful procedures. I had become seriously dental phobic. I decided to give Macleod Trail Dental a chance. My confidence in going to the dentist is now restored, that is, going to Macleod Trail Dental has all my confidence. The staff is friendly and sensitive to patient concerns. They are quite cognizant of treating dental phobic patients with kid gloves and their techniques and skills are top notch. They didn't hurt me like the last two ham-handed individuals at two different clinics did. I am going for minor dental surgery there on Monday. Normally I would be in a state of panic days before, but I have no such feelings. They also bring specialists into their practice instead of sending patients out here, there and everywhere. This is not only convenient, but psychologically soothing since I now associate that clinic with a safe haven. I am SO thrilled that I found Macleod Trail Dental. When my dentist retired years ago, he left his practice of his son, who obviously only went into dentistry because he had a ready-made practice to take over. He did not possess the same careful touch nor was gifted or empathetic like his father. Then I tried another practice, and wouldn't you know it, the dentist working on me was again a son that had inherited the clinic - and he was a nightmare. What normally takes two injections to freeze me took him more than a dozen tries and it still didn't take. The ensuing pain was awful, and for three months after I was in a lot of pain from the infection that resulted. His comment to me was that some people's nerves are not where they are supposed to be - strange, since I've never had this issue before nor heard of nerves migrating to new locations over time. The truth was, he was not gifted. Medicine and dentistry involve a lot of schooling and skill, but there is also a component of it that is aptitude and art. You either have it or you don't. Those last two did not possess the aptitude or art form needed to be good at what they do. However, Macleod Trail Dental is staffed by people who have the skills and the art form - obviously they chose to go into this field because they felt called to it and not because daddy was leaving them a ready to go practice. I would highly recommend Macleod Trail Dental to anyone who is dental phobic and wants top notch technology and service from skilled, caring practitioners. They even have time blocked off each week for dental emergencies. I can't say enough good things about Macleod Trail Dental. My advice to anyone who has been holding back on a dental exam because of fear is to please try Macleod Trail Dental - I think you will be very pleasantly surprised as I was.

LIFE CHANGING I am an extreme case of dental phobia. Resulting in my mouth needing tons of work. Going to the dentist is an absolute living hell for me. When that dredded time comes of corse I can't go back to the last dentist I went to as I burnt that bridge after the hell ended. Meeting the new dentist I make it abundantly clear of my issues and what I need from them. I am always assured that they are the right dentist for me and they have experience with this and everything will be fine. Then I get in the chair and same damn thing every time. The last visit I had I almost lost it and swung when I was told it was my fault not his. Then I went to Macloud Trail Dental. Same story as above until I got in the chair. I wasn't sure if she had even given me the initial needle or not. I believe I had two root canals but not complexity sure because the entire procedure was absolutely like nothing I have had in the last 40 years. Dr Jiji is unlike any other dentist ever. She is gentle and calm, not in any rush and informative. I wanted sedation but with her it would be pointless as I felt zero discomfort. Absolutely AMAZING for people who do not like dentists. She is life changing for me as I am now looking forward to having her fix my many issues. I cannot thank her enough but every other office in town needs to have some training from her. Thick headed dentists that figure they are fantastic need to take a note from Dr Jiji. I will never see another dentist. Thank you so much Dr Jiji I cannot tell you how much you have helped me.
