I had an emergency appointment for an acute periodontal infection last week with Dr. Chima. I had acute jaw pain and a low grade fever. She confirmed my need for a periodontal consult and agreed to initiate the request for a consultation with Dr. Javier Cabrales, their in-house specialist. As well, she gave me prescriptions for antibiotics and pain relief. Thank you Sierra Dental and Dr. Chima for your much needed emergency assistance.

I had a very bad experience at Sierra Dental, Signal Hill SW location on February 15, 2024 during a hygiene appt. The hygienist, Steph, took an additional 4 unnecessary x-rays that she didn’t discuss with me beforehand or get my approval for them. Things got even worse after I sent an email complaining about that unethical action. The Manager, Stephanie, responded by barring me from using their clinic again! She even cancelled another scheduled appt. with my dentist. It’s clear to me now that the manager not only approved of the hygienist’s behavior, but most likely encouraged it, just to bring more profit to the clinic. Sierra Dental is run by a greedy, unethical manager, and my warning to potential patients is to stay away!

The clinic is very nice, clean and welcoming. The hygienists are fantastic but it's a shame the dentists are not. There is always a lot of turnover and it seems every couple years I'm 'assigned' a new one because the old one had left.

I appreciate a dental office that takes pride in providing great service and top of the line equipment. I’ve been to too many dental offices thinking I’m getting a deal and walking out wondering if the instruments they used were really sterilized or still taking film x-rays. Who knew that was still a thing.
