Appreciated message board alert to 20 minute delay. She apologized twice for the delay. Very gracious. Appreciated referral to hematologist to determine if long term Eliquis will be needed.
Have follow up appointment in 4 weeks.

9Sept22. I would say the doctor & the patient were having a challenging day. Our discussion was tied up by scribing, comparing with notes from previous visit, making a decision on continuation of anxiety medication. It could have gone better for both of us. When a doctor has to focus on scribing, sometimes the eye contact, the touching, the communication can suffer. I felt I needed to be warned to research date of beginning use of meds, when counseling was used, so that accurate notes can be scribed / written in my records. I don't like having to guess dates under pressure, making judgement calls on specific challenging experiences, when emotions are far too complex to summarize into my records in a simple sentence.

Dr Kim took the time to discuss the cause of my fatigue with wisdom so that I left her office with hope that someday I would not be so overcome with exhaustion. She not only recommended that I hire a caregiver one day a week to care for my husband and give me much needed relief, she also recommended that I coordinate with my naturopath. I know that the cause of fatigue is difficult to diagnose.

YuJin Kim actually listens and works with you to find solutions. She takes extensive notes during your visit so you know you are being heard. She is compassionate and caring and provides a framework for healing from multiple different perspectives. For example, I deal with anxiety, so she recommends therapy, exercise, vitamins and other self-care practices to supplement medication. She cares for the whole person rather than just throwing drugs at you. She is the best doctor I've ever had the privilege of being cared for by, and I highly recommend her!!

I was running late due to local festival traffic but was able to see Dr. Kim. Things went good, got a couple of tests done in office. We went over test results, talked about new med to manage diabetes.
