I think Dr. Harrison is very caring and quick to respond to someone in crisis. He listens and takes his time with you. I will say, though, that he is a little pushy on writing prescriptions. I have had good experiences with him overall. One time, though, I had a really bad side effect from a prescription he put me on inasmuch that it put me in the hospital. He didn't want to take me off of the drug and got into a fight with my general practitioner. Instead, he wanted me to continue taking Clozaril, put me into the psych ward with 4 treatments of ECT. I don't know what being zapped 4 times would have done for me given that I am already epileptic. I could give myself 4 seizures if I really wanted to. That one instance, though, doesn't define his entire practice. His intentions are generally kind and he is open-minded. No doctor is perfect.

I think Dr Harrison is the best psychiatrist I've seen. He takes his time,is attentive and listens, and spends more time talking about non medication treatments then medications. He is big into exercise and self care and challenges me to look at things differently....its been hard and he holds me accountable but defiitely worth it

Overall a really good experience. Not to medication heavy, although that is why a person would see a psychiatrist rather than a psychologist. Our visits were always 20-30 minutes, longer if needed. We would always spend the first few minutes reviewing how things had gone and focus on areas of difficulty...9/10 we would talk about different non medication techniques we could use to help manage my struggles.and then spend the last few minutes reviewing medications, any side effects, and any sort of suggestions for other medications or medication changes to try. Would recommend.

After reading reviews I was hopeful to work with Dr. Harrison but I am extremely disappointed in the results. He is a heavy pill pusher and the medication he prescribed me made me much worse, he was supposed to follow up with a phone call and he never did. Overall it has not been a good experience with Dr. Harrison.

This man has saved my life I have PTSD, depression, Anxiety, and Suicidal tendencies if not for him I'd not be here, Yes he's busy, yes he's rarely on time with appointments but thats because he takes his time with his patients. If you have a bad thing to say about this man you're more messed up then i am. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for my second chance Dr.

Reception ladies may be over worked but shouldnt take it out on patients. Waiting room is instituational. It really helps that Dr Harrison is compassionate, genuinely cares. Feedback & knowledge is good. This office charges patients a fee for missed appointments, after waiting over 40 minutes, I had to leave without seeing him because needed attend obligations; I was charged a fee. These doctors should be RESPECTFUL & be ON TIME!! If psychologists can manage their time & not have clients wait; it can't be that difficult.

Without a doubt, the best in Regina. Kind, considerate, and not pushing pills. Since I've been with him, I've reduced the amount of medication I've been on and he has really encouraged things like meditation and various breathing exercises.he is the only psych doctor that I've felt really cares and isn't just trying to get me out of his office and on to the next patient.

He is very understanding and effective. He is welcoming and has great advice. He will go out of his way to ensure your needs are met. He will challenge you but shows concern and will make you see from a different perspective and alter any negative thinking. He will check up on you and make sure you are managing well but it is up to you to give one hundred percent effort back to make a distinct change for the better.
