It has taken me months to finally decide to write this review, because I wanted to believe that my situation would get better, but after many more doctors and countless copays, medications, and a consistently declining quality of life, I feel it necessary to tell my story.

When I started seeing Dr. Hendizadeh I was in pain from a sports injury that caused 2 neuromas. Looking back now I would have rather lived with that discomfort than be in the pain I’m in now.

My suspicions about this practice started after they recommended expensive “boots”... At $100+ per boot. This was followed by expensive supplements, $600+ orthotics that had to be redone, because they were incorrect, and countless copays and deductibles for tests. After about 6 injections the doctor recommended surgery. He recommended I remove the 2 neuromas and also have a bunion removal. I thought that was odd because I never had pain related to the bunion and I was assured that the Bunionectomy was the route to go... even over the neuroma removal. But I trusted him. He had amazing reviews and seemed overconfident with his practice.

The surgery was to take place at the surgical center of which I later found out the doctor was part-owner. This seemed like double-dipping to me, but my mind went to a happy place where perhaps this was to decrease the cost to his patients.

After complications the day of surgery and what seemed to be trauma to my foot from possibly having one too many procedures I was in excruciating pain. The doctor was good at making himself available and communicating through text but the pain was intense. I had to make a trip the next day to his office on a weekend because the bandages were too tight. I thought this would be the answer to years of pain but I was wrong. Two years later and I am now left with a debilitating disease that will possibly forever stand in the way of having a normal life. After thousands of dollars I am left with a burning pain known as CRPS. A feeling of walking on fire and a foot that is bright red. It’s been 2 years now and every second of the day I’m in pain. I take pills all day long and there is nothing I can do. Only time will tell.

Instead of having typical conversations with my husband or arguments, we are always discussing the level of pain I’m in. It has gone from being an annoyance prior to surgery to completely consuming our lives. At one point, the doctor implied my pain after the surgery was “in my head” and when I requested the doctor’s notes, they all read something to the effect of “patient states condition improving” instead of the reality of those visits, which was a consistent and unwavering concern that I was getting worse.

I’m sure this practice has helped people and so has this doctor, but before you spend all your money and put all your faith in this practice, I strongly suggest you research with a family member, a friend, or your partner exactly what their suggestions for surgery (and their other expensive practices) entail. Hopefully, you will avoid a life-changing result that right now seems as though it has permanently decreased my family’s quality of life.

Dr. Pedram A. Hendizadeh's response
At Advanced Podiatry each review and feedback is taken with the highest level of consideration. We truly appreciate your feedback to our practice and certainly empathize with your dissatisfaction with your surgical outcome. Our doctors typically recommend conservative care with patients prior to surgery. It appears this was done in your case. If conservative care does not help, and surgical care is elected, all the risks and complications are reviewed with each patient by the doctor in advance. Unfortunately, not all surgical outcomes have great results. This was discussed in the office with a detailed informed consent and again reviewed the day of surgery with a second informed consent at the surgery center. We never push surgery on anyone and only recommend it when conservative measures do not produce good outcomes. You may need to consider the possibility that had you not had surgery your condition could have progressed to similar levels of pain. Our office has always been responsive to your needs and is always available for you for further discussion or to try alternative measures. We hope your condition improves to levels with less discomfort.

Dr. Hendizadeh was the only one who was able to take care of my heel pain. I had suffered with this for 2 year and had to give up my favorite activities. Saw 3 other doctors and they were useless. They tried so many things including cortisone shots, physical therapy and poorly made orthotics. Dr. H was the only one that took a detailed history and diagnosed my limb length discrepancy. He made a custom made orthotic out of graphite. Treated me with Pulse Activation Therapy. After 3 sessions an some stretching I can say I am 95% better and most importantly back to my activities.

I am the operating room managwr of the North Queen Surgery Center. I’ve worked in many different facilities with many different doctors and specialties. Dr. Hendizadeh has been coming to the center for over four years. I can assure you he and his team are the most professional well-rounded and most dedicated team of podiatric surgeons I have ever worked with. I’ve personally seen them interact with patients and perform their operations in our center. I highly recommend him and his group.

I had surgery on both feet for bunions approximately 10 years ago and Dr. Hendizadeh was amazing! I had minimal pain for a few days and as the days progressed, my feet felt much better.
I still have no pain in my feet and have never had an issue with the areas he repaired.
I would highly recommend him for any issues pertaining to the feet. The office staff is very friendly and nice.
