I fell on the ice and shattered my elbow. As an ASL interpreter, getting full functionality back was vital for my work. With surgery, the help of a metal plate and seven screws, physical therapy (and a lot of hard work!), I am able to be back working as well as gardening and other home improvement projects without any limit of mobility or use.

Ten months later I had him take the plate out as it was in a location that caused discomfort (and it no longer was necessary). At that time, he stated he wasn't sure that I'd get back to full range of motion because of the extent of the break. He obviously did a great job! I asked if I could get my hardware back and though it got lost in the shuffle the day of surgery, he hunted it down and mailed it to me!

He's good at his job, very personable, and I'd highly recommend him.

Dr. Butterfield followed my son from urgent care to MRI to surgery and follow ups. He is very caring and very knowledgeable. He also consults with other surgeons to stay up to date. Would recommend him to any parent that needs to hand over their child to a surgeon.

I like that Dr. Butterfield listened to what I had to say with all my corcerns with having surgery and rehab. Would recommend him to anyone that has shoulder issues.
