Biography

Dr. Lisa Schneider attended Yale University as an undergraduate where she was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and attended medical school at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Schneider is a specialist trained in microsurgical reconstruction of all areas of the body in addition to hand and cosmetic surgery. A longtime advocate of women's health issues, she has a particular interest in breast reconstruction, both using implants and the body's own tissue for free flap DIEP reconstruction. Dr Schneider pursued additional training at the Institute for Reconstructive Plastic Surgery (IRPS) at New York University Langone Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital Center in microsurgical reconstruction in order to maximize her ability to reconstruct the most challenging surgical problems.
