This is the worst Dr. on the planet. He deserves a zero rating. Absolutely no personal skills, I don't believe he went to medical school, he is just playing doctor. He won't even touch you or examine you, I would love to get another doctor...How did he get to practice in Nova Scotia...Just awful!!!!!! No follow up on anything. A waste of time.

IMHO... run. Unfortunately, I must agree with the negative reviews here. I have had the worst experiences with this doctor and feel compelled to support those of us who have had this type of experience. I have asked if he has been vetted as I have serious concerns about his knowledge and lack of basic skills. With so many complaints in such a short time, would it not be best for him to be in a position where he doesn't have direct contact with patients? Maybe a refresher course? There seems to be a lack of empathy in his mannerisms. I do hope he finds a way to improve.

We have been patients of Dr. Rajan's since his arrival at the Ravines Medical Centre just before the pandemic. Although a seemingly friendly and calm individual, we have noticed a lack of initiative and even basic knowledge on his part. Each time we interact with him, either in person or through the telephone, we equip ourselves with whatever information we need and direct him as subtly as possible to some form of resolution. No real problems obtaining prescriptions if that is what we require, but little to no support in receiving follow-ups with other physicians and specialists. One thing we have noticed is that he does not touch patients - at least not us - and his diagnosis are made through simple observation (if he asks to see the area!) and our symptoms. Consequently, such things as digital rectal exams, palpating potential tumours, hernias or joint injuries are a no-go for him. This undermines our confidence in his abilities and trust in his decisions. We are actively looking at going elsewhere, even if it means out of province to a private clinic which will be very expensive, but our health needs must come first.

Instead of getting staff to call and cancel an appointment he will call himself so he can charge MSI for that appointment … If there was any possible way I could get another doctor I would go in a heartbeat he’s quite useless as a doctor Has screwed things up for me several times including waiting for specialist appointments that had never been booked even with repeated phone calls to ask if the request had gone in for the appointment, losing important paperwork, and not letting you know that blood work k has come back with irregularities that need to be addressed and only finding out because you asked for a copy of the blood work and find out there are things that need to be addressed immediately!

My family has been absolutely dissatisfied with Dr. Rajan. He seems incompetent and has been more of a hurt then help. My wife saw him 4 days after an urgent c-section and he didn’t look at her incision. He prescribed her an antibiotic for an infection she DID NOT have. He claimed he wasn’t a specialist in Oxycodone, even though IWK Doctors advised that this is what she needed. He didn’t send her for a CBC test even though my wife’s hemoglobin levels were at 68. Additionally, IWK nurses advised us to see our family doctor in 24 hours because our newborn hasn’t had a BM in over 72 hours, he booked us in knowing what the issue was, and then claimed he couldn’t do anything and we should go to IWK emergency. Lastly, he has sent us home with prescriptions for over the counter medications, like “icy-hot”, because he clearly doesn’t know the common medicine practices in Canada. My wife had to explain to him what a milk let-down is. He has been our doctor for two years and it’s become apparent he has zero desire to learn. We have lost all faith in Dr Rajan. We do not trust our family physician anymore.
