Had a LOBECTOMY performed this this genius who convinced me that doing it robotically to have less scarring !! He isn’t very good using the robotics as he broke 3 ribs and offered to repair them with a plate to align the broken bones Seriously ?? Does he think I’m an idiot to allow him to ever touch me again!! And hopefully one day I’ll see him and thank him for the permanent nerve damage I will live with forever !!! DO NOT USE HIM 💀

This doctor is a complete idiot. Do not let him do surgery on you or anyone you know. He did sternum surgery on me and put plates and screws in 10 years ago and I am still taking 5 pain pills a day because of chronic PAIN. He wanted to kick me out of Beaumont hospital the day after surgery and I could hardly move. I went back for a check up a week later and I told him that I was in the same amount of pain before he did the surgery. He told me I wasn't in pain and he wasn't going to give me any thing for pain to go and talk to my regular doctor which I did and have been taking pain pills since. Of coarse he left Michigan and moved to New York .That is what they do. They just move to another state and mess someone else up. I should have sued him along time ago. Please don't let him touch you. He also has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen.

I had VAT Feb 2016 by Dr. LACKEY. He was wonderful. I liked his bedside manners just fine. He was a no nonsense tell it like it is docter but in a kind way. He hss left Beaumo nt and i am really sorry to see him go.

I was a former patient of Dr. Lackey and had a VATS PROCEDURE perform back in the summer of 2015 at Royal Oak Beaumont.

First, I would like to say that this doctors bedside manners are nonexistent. He has to be one of the rudest physicians I've ever encountered. I have friends that work as nurses on the floor were a lot of his patients go postoperatively, and they've all told me his bedside manners are atrocious.

Secondly, the surgery he performed, I had to seek a second opinion and have it revised by a renowned thoracic surgeon. I know there always risk with any type of surgery, but Dr. Lackey I would never recommend, nor any of his three partners. Beaumont is a first class health system, but they need to start recruiting more thoracic surgeons.


Lastly, my advice is to always research your doctor before going under the knife. Ask questions, and ask them how many times they perform that surgery. Unfortunately, I paid the price.

Worst experience of my life was selecting him to do my surgery. Had nothing but issues ever since getting surgery, he is a complete jerk. Please explore your options and seek someone better than this unfit doctor. He damaged me and I and am still dealing with this after one year since my surgery. Bed side manner is basically none... He let my family wait for seven hours panicking while I was struggling to come out of general anesthetia. The next he pulled the NG tube out of out my nose but said before "Don't get any of that S&@T on my suit." Very poor doctor, now finding out that he basically botched my surgery..........

Dr. Lackey is a gifted surgeon with great bedside manners too. He takes all the time to explain the treatment plan. He recently operated on my lungs with the VATS procedure and the results were great. I am blessed and thankful to be under his care.

Staff totally does not have descent courtesy when dealing with patients & their needs. No returned phone calls for days at a time. WAITED 1 HOUR FOR APPOINTMENT WHEN THERE WERE NO OTHER PATIENTS.
