I absolutely love doctor Milkman. Very knowledgeable on women's health. I was very lucky to be referred to her as one who does not like going to the gynecologist. She did my surgery (hysterectomy) and everything was great. I would not hesitate to see her again.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had. I have a large cyst that is compacting my sciatic nerve and is causing excruciating pain, which needs to be addressed ASAP. I couldn't get an appointment with Dr Milkman, as I needed to see a NP first. The good part, I was able to get an appointment with Tara an NP within a few days of calling, and the woman who took my info over the phone said they would be able to access my MRI and they appointment was all set. They also said the NP would pass on anything she felt urgent to Dr Milkman.

I drove from Napa for this appointment, arrived the prerequisite 15 mins early, and then waited for 45 mins. At that point the front desk person came around and said I'm sorry I forgot to check you in and Tara has moved on, we will have to reschedule you. I calmly explained that I had driven from Napa, I'm in a ridiculous amount of pain, and if you took another patient during my appointment time Tara, in theory, should have time to squeeze me. Nope, that's not how they work, no one has time until next week now. Even though I heard the scheduler make a same day appointment, while I was waiting. What bothered me the most was the flippant attitude of 'Sorry, come back later'. You wasted a large chunk of my time, I am in a ton of pain, and you simply don't care. That's not the type of Doctor's office I would ever go back to or recommend. Go somewhere else.

Dr Milkman has been my gyn since 2004 and has taken excellent care of me. She's professional and really an excellent dr. She's done one surgery on me that was hugely successful and took the time to reassure my boyfriend on how the surgery went-- including post-op and my follow up visits and even a phone call from him one night. She's the best! She is 'no-nonsense' in her manner yet very kind. I've never felt rushed or had my opinion dismissed. Highly recommend-- 5 stars!!

Dr. Milkman's manner can be just a tad brusque at times (businesslike rather than folksy), but she is fundamentally a kind person who wants to help (of course) and she seems very knowledgeable. She has been nice about squeezing me into a full schedule when needed, and she has performed two gyn-related surgeries on me, both of which were successful. I feel I am in very good hands in her care, though, because she is a surgeon, as well, she may be quicker to think of that option than others would be, though I trust that my surgeries have been appropriate and necessary.
