awesome doctor. she is at Newport Heart where my cardiologist is also. She was on call when my husband came into the ER with a blood clot in his bladder . she immediately knew what had caused it and took him off one of his blood thinner. ( too many blood thinners actually caused this to happen. He had to have surgery. but Dr Gainer followed him through Hoag and the procedure.

I would never return to this physician again. Dr. Gainer is not professional. I had done a barrage of tests. Dr. Gainer did not know what the results where. She thought that she saw them but was not sure. I had to wait 10 minutes as she went looking for the results. She could not diagnose my problem but suggested going on medication in case there was an issue but HAD NO REASON to suspect that was the issue. Completely scattered brained and untrustworthy. We are talking about my heart. I would never rely on her medical opinion if she was capable of giving one.

This cardiologist is rude, sarcastic, and stubborn. She does not listen to the patient. She is unwilling to change her treatment based on changing symptoms that the patient is exhibiting - very dangerous. Seek treatment elsewhere.

on a referral from my primary physician. she's been treating me for 3 yrs. always professional and courteous. seems quite knowledgeable about her field and the various medications and treatments.
