I would not recommend this doctor for anyone who needs routine gynecological care. She rushes through exams and dismisses my concerns. I have had MUCH better service and care at Planned Parenthood.

I could basically copy and paste what the previous person wrote b/c this is EXACTLY what happened to me during a routing pap. I left the office in tears. She was very forceful and at one point the instrument being used was pinching me and she did not care and all she shouted was you have to relax. Then, as she continued her exam she was rough and the experience painful and terrible. Iv NEVER had this problem before with ANY doctor.

I went to Dr. Swartzman on advice from a friend. I have had terrible experiences with routine PAP smears as I have a hard time relaxing. Dr. Swartzman was probably the roughest, most curt Dr. I have ever experienced. No method was used to relax me...not humor, kind words, NOTHING. She just kept saying, in a very mean tone, "You have to relax! RELAX!" at one point, she almost slammed her tools down, sat back, and huffed. Does an experienced Dr. act this way? Does this show a breadth of experience with patients? Then at one point she sardonically speculated on my sex life in a very unprofessional way. I was aghast. When she finished, she left the room without comment, and was on her computer in the main room. Never looked up and said bye or anything. She might be very bright and experienced, but she has no bedside manner or social skills that made me more nervous and turned a routine exam into a bit of a nightmare. I will never go back.

I feel like she is very smart, but perhaps a little busy. I felt like she was always kind of rushing in and out. She wasn't available for my delivery, but it worked out really great (Kim Matthews), natural, no complications (I also had doula Vanessa Flood, who is fabulous). I would definitely recommend women's health associates. All this said, I will probably keep her as my doctor, just try to communicate a little more assertively.

She and her staff made me feel very comfortable at my first OB appointment. She seems very approachable and friendly, and also smart.

Dr. Swartzman has been my doctor since 1999. She provided excellent care through two pregnancies one normal pregnancy with natural delivery,and one with a difficult pregnancy and a cesarean birth. In all instances, she gave excellent care, support and advice. Office support staff and nurses are terrific and provide excellent customer service. I have highly recommended Dr. Swartzman to over 20 family and friends. All have had the same experience.

Dr. Swartzman is a phenomonal OB/GYN. She was my OB doctor with my last child. She is easy to talk to, spends time listening and talking to her patients to establish a relationship with them and not just herd you through like some other physicians I have had. She is VERY knowledgeable about all approaches to the birth process and considers the patients wishes at all times when making decisions about how to move forward with patient care. She gives you the good, bad, and ugly and helps to make decisions from there, always reminding you that you have choices along the way. I highly respect her and her practice.
