Dr Smolin told me on my first visit he was concern about my heart rate and high blood pressure and I should have some tests done. The test, a echo and stress, was perfomed 3 months after the first visit. Ok, my 2nd visit he stated, he was concern about me having a rapid heart beat and he put me on medication and would like to monitor it every three months. Now, I'm scared NEVER had heart problems and I'm in my early 40s. Fastfoward my third visit, follow up, saw his nurse explained no complication with the medication, but heart beat is still rapied, she implied he probably order more test. NO HE DIDN'T, when he entered the room he did not examine me only asked a few questions and suggested I may have HEARTBURN....yes HEARTBURN...PLEASE STAY AWAY WARNING

Dr. Smolin confused me with other patients. Called my wife from operating room and said everything ok, not problems. I came to recover with a weighted hot pack for a hemitoma which he did not note in the records. Instead of being able to go home that afternoon; I had to wait till evening to go home . The nurses did not have good comments about Dr. Smolin. Getting copies of the medical records; he said no hematoma when I came down from surgery with one! His paper work and confusing patients is terrible. I was medicated and then bumpted for an acute case. By the time he operated on me; the anesthesia had worn off; so I have a pacemaker inserted without anestesia! DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR! HE WILL NOT LISTEN TO YOU AND WILL CONFUSE WITH OTHER PATIENTS. At his office he orderd a cardiac cath for a woman who had just had one! Luckily her escort challenged that. HE HAS BEEN SUED FOR MALPRACTICE. DO NOT USE HIM!!!! I now use Brenda Richardson as my cardiologist.

Dr. Smolin saved my life. I had died in the emergency room 4 years ago of this month. I have been going to him since then. I would recommend him to anyone with heart problems. He knows his stuff. If he can not help you he will give you another Dr.'s name that you can trust on. Guaranteed. I owe him my life. I am so thankful and glad he was there at the time of my mishap. His staff is helpful and polite and actually humerous at times. I never have to wait long either for my visit. I see him every 6 months and I always come out of there happy once again for another 6 months. He is very knowledgeable in his career. I could put my life on him. I love yea DOC! I hope God blesses him and his family and staff for a wonderful and promising life. I will always use him as long as he is alive. He also has another talent....sketching and drawing war pictures. Check them out on the internet. He has a many of talents. Way to go DOC. See you soon.

I my opinion, the doctor was less ready to treat because the patient was elderly--"was already old"
