Wow! Talk about fake news. Stating Dr. Chaing and His Narcotics practice should be investigated suggest to me the inquiry should be aim at this writer to see if he has bitterness, hatred or that he feels real or unreal mistreatment from Dr. Chaing .
I have seen and experience Dr Chiang abilities and compassion first hand while He sat by my wife's bed in the early morning researching for a cure for her and because of His care she is still here with me twelve to fourteen years later. I have never seen or heard of another patient of His who complained about over prescribing medication. I have heard of others complained that they were denied more medications [the reason I later found out was due to Dr. Chaing concern they may be misusing] .
He is to be commended for His integrity, commitment to patient care, always furthering His knowledge for the care of the sick, His personal and family sacrifices. His Family lives down South while his labour of love continues for the care of Northern Community. A very honourable man. The North is and has been blessed to have him as a dedicate family doctor for many years. He is loved and appreciated by many. Thank You for your very hard labor. Missing you as our personal family physchian and personal friend.

I read all the comments. I don't understand why a doctor with such Narcotics practice is not investigated by OPP?
why would a doctor do that? someone told me his wife is a successful Dentist therefore he is not in financial stress. I heard that Dr. wu in his clinic was from Minden On. and I have seen good reviews about Dr. Wu.

I wish to post my comments which only highlight the comments from the ex OPP Officer as posted earlier, Bravo! Sir... Thankyou for alerting us to this Dr's unstable actions in the community. However it is already common knowledge of his Narcotics practices which is only part of the reason he was transferred to Iroquois Falls a few years back, the other was an apparent screwup he did to a patient which the College of Phys & Surgeons reprimanded him for..with a basic wound care course and a $$ FINE $$. So the CEO transferred him. I would like to also like to add : Why is it almost all of the negative complaints from patients posted here all seem to get removed after only a few days to a week or so. And the positive " fairytale" type stories eg: Best Doctor Ever..... Never seem to get removed. This is getting to the point were I wonder about the valadidity of this site period. Let the truth be told please..... Thankyou.

This Doctor has a God complex!!!
Needed my health medical file but he wouldn't give them to me . I finally had to go see a lawyer to demand my file and even that took two tries from my lawyer..
Chiang get over your God complex , your nothing special...

We have been fortunate to have this doctor here so long.If myself or any of my family members required emergency care my preference would be him over the other doctor.he does his job and does not require public reassurance of his performance. He does not look for attention.

I wish to respond to the person Dr. Chaing obviously had , put in the rating for him regarding his "Taking of bloodwork for narcotics patients" and commending him on his caring and good natured attitude ect.. He appears to have forgoten to note that he is under contract with private enterprise outside the hospital 80% of the time when he is on his e.r. rotation and leaves the hospital without an e.r doctor without any concern other than his self serving agenda. I also commend the ex OPP officers comments as he is 100% accurate in his assessment, thats why patients come from as far as NewLiskard to see him. Im sure he will be surely missed by all the cronic substance abusers and Drug Dealers who buy his Patients Narcotics off the street.Well Iroquois Falls will be worth the drive to them Im sure. BON VOYAGE DR CHAING.

Hello, I wish to add my rating for this Doctor, as a resedent of the Matheson community and a former OPP constible. I find it appalling that at a time of Crisis, such as we have now with an epidemic of narcotics flooding our local area. This M.D has become literally the main source for patience that get taken off Narcotics for selling them or misuse, only to arrive at Dr. Chaings office and be taken as a new patient ...no Questions asked and immediately be given perscriptions for the same narcotics. No drug testing ect... and to top it off, even with knowledge from prior Doctors about the patients past drug abuse. I would like to see his licence to dispence Narcotics Revoked immediately and am ashamed tom say we have him in our community with no respect for his local townsfolk or taking responsabillity for his actions. He is currently under investigation by the College of Physions and Surgeons for this matter and I would like him to be more responsable for his actions.

He is a caring doctor who tries to accommodate everyone. He appreciates children's behaviours rather than humiliating the parent.

Dr.Chaing is a very caring professional family physician who has been my doctor now for about six years. He is very cautious issuing medications, which I LIKE! He is extremely careful to monitor bloodwork when you are on medications to keep checking liver, kidney etc for problems from meds. He is quick to refer you to a specialist if he is in the least concerned about anything and any specialist I have ever seen has complimented Dr. Chiang on catching what ever it was I was sent out for. He is compassionate and always busy, but if you tell him you have questions, he takes the time to answer each and everyone, and makes sure you have all you need before leaving. He is usually late with his appointments, but this is due to the fact that he heads up the hospital he is working at and is often working both appointments and emerg, as well as in care patients. While you may have to wait to see him, he is well worth the wait. Very Professional, always polite, and always careful.
