I recently saw Dr. Borok for a workers compensation claim. He showed up 30 minutes late and was talking to himself as he entered the doorway. He wouldn't shake my hand or acknowledge that I was in the room as he was busy trying to organize his paperwork. He soon accused me of not telling the truth about my job and where I worked although everything is documented through the State of California. I was diagnosed with stage 3 melanoma and he acted as though he did not believe me until "I" insisted I take my shirt off and show him my scars after undergoing 5 surgeries. He didn't think much of my scars, said they didn't look bad and didn't believe me when I told him that I went through tremendous pain from the surgeries. He also stated out loud that he wondered why my treating Dr's from cpmc s.f had me complete one year of interferon, and for clarification that was everyday for the first month and 3 days a week thereafter for the next eleven months. I then showed him my dr's report for all the surgeries and he could not believe what he was looking at, he said he had "never" seen a report like this before. I wonder, what kind of reports is Dr. Borok use to seeing, obviously not good one's. Dr. Borok never felt any of my lymphnodes, he acted like I was a burden for him and couldn't wait to get me out of the office so he could see his next patient. Dr. Borok then sent me out of his office into the lobby to answer a couple more questions. He then brought his next client into another room to interview them. Approximately 15 to 20 minutes went by before he realized I was still in the lobby waiting for him. He then brought me back to his office and I handed him the paperwork he wanted me to complete. As I sat down Dr. Borok asked "what did I have you do again" and I told him, he then was unable to find the papers that I just handed him and were shuffled in with other papers had. Dr. borok never let me explain much of anything, he just wanted to go and blow and after awhile of attempting to answer his questions I just said put down whatever you think sounds good. My experience with Dr. Borok was horrible. I have never been treated this way by a doctor before, he seemed angry and agitated at me, he was very short with me and would not listen. Dr. Borok is NOT a professional as when he was done questioning me, he simply grabbed papers and attempted to leave. I then asked him if he could answer a couple questions I had and once again he didn't even acknowledge I was there. Dr. Borok from Van Nuys is pathetic !
