He diagnosed me at a young age with hypothyroidism and he changed my life. I am 55 now and thank him and his staff for how they have helped me.

When I was 10 year old, I was newly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and struggled quite a bit balancing childhood and a severe illness. I remember going into see Dr. Duck it what was probably my 10th visit with him. He came into the room with a look of anger and disgust on his face and instead of offering assistance, he shook his head, grunted, and told me, "I'm not the one with diabetes in this room!" His words have haunted me for years as I have never at that point in my life felt like such a failure. Here I thought Doctors were suppose to help but instead, he treated me as a number and offered absolutely NO help. I'm 40 years old now and still alive NO THANKS TO DR. DUCK. I don't know who he is now as I have not seen this man in over 25 years but I can say, his words have impacted me negatively to the point where typing this review 30 years later is more relief than I've ever gotten from my visits with Dr. Duck.
Additionally, when I read the more recent reviews of Dr. Duck, it doesn't shock me that he was "Cold and unfriendly" to other people as well. Some people never change. But now I can FINALLY start the healing process from the trauma I experienced in Dr. Duck's office 30+ years ago.

My daughter has seen Dr Duck all of her life and she loves him. It is not a miserable experience every time we go there. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He is honest and up front. Diseases of the endocrine system are no laughing matter and I believe he works very hard to make sure children and adults understand what they are dealing with. He will not tell you what you want to hear but what you need to hear. I am grateful for Dr Duck every single day. I believe he has my daughter's best interests at heart.

I was not happy with this physician at all. He was very arrogant and had poor communication. I would not take my child to see him, or recommend anyone to see him.

Dr. Duck is the reason my son (now 26 years old) has no complications from diabetes. He has been a diabetic since age 11. I will never forget our first appointment with Dr. Duck. He told my son "We are going to teach you that you control your diabetes, diabetes does not control you", my son followed his advice and is now a very healthy and successful young adult.

Dr. Duck is cold, unfriendly, and feels critical although I guess I can't say he has really criticized us. I HATE going to see him and so does my child. Some of his staff are just as bad as he is but one or two are palatable. The check up appointments are almost as unbearable as a blood test. He makes having diabetes even more miserable than it is already. Ugh, I wish I had a different endocrinologist for my child.

Dr. Duck may be an expert in the field, but his bedside manner leaves MUCH to be desired. Avoid him if you prefer medical advice free from condescension.
