Dr Brooks is the first male obgyn that I have been to that I didn't find rude or insensitive. He made the Pap smear and pelvic exam as comfortable as one could make them and after he talked to me in a comfortable setting and wasn't just rushing through the appointment. I had to bring my 15 month old and he was very patient with the interruptions when I needed to attend to him. He listened to my thoughts on what I wanted in my birth plan and he is the first doctor that told me no doctor could force me to go against my birth plan and he agreed with my thoughts for it. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Brooks is the best!! I cannot imagine what I will do when he is no longer practicing. I hope he never retires. He never makes you feel rushed or uncomfortable even when in the extremely uncomfortable situation of an exam. He is definitely knowledgeable and matter-of-fact and I appreciate that. I trust him completely with my health care and that of the children he delivered. He TRULY cares about his patients and you feel like a friend by the time you leave. You spend calm, relaxed time "chatting" in comfy chairs in an informal setting before having to rush into the ....yeah, uncomfortableness. His wife is his perfect compliment; they are a great team. Dr. Brooks is always assessable and when returning calls, talk to you himself, not through his receptionist. I trust him and rely on his knowledge and perspective on everything. He makes me feel like what doctor/patient relationships must have been like many years ago. He is the best!!!

This doctor will not see you under medi-cal, unless you are pregnant..... it doesn't matter if he has cared for you in the past, and it certainly doesn't matter if you became infertile while under his care. If you can't get pregnant again, YOU HAVE TO PAY CASH in order to follow~up, or have future consults regarding your fertility options. In my opinion, this is a load of crap. And discriminatory. Even if I did have the proper insurance, I would NEVER step foot in his offices again, and would refuse his service in an emergency situation.

Dr.Brooks has saved my life, twice, and performed 3 ER surgeries on me. I was 'assigned' to him back in 03 for an ectopic of an unknown pregnancy. When I got married and wanted to try again, we went to Dr.B for guidance, since he knew the most about my reproductive health. His wife is awesome, but I didn't care for the receptionist they had at the time (2010-11). Unfortunately, I never did have a successfuul pregnancy. I think he did everything he could have. I certianly wouldn't say he is horrible or uncaring... maybe just a little 'matter of fact' because he's been doing it for decades.

Dr. Brooks has been my ob/gyn for over 20 years. He is always on time for appointments. He does not over book and spends a minimum of 20 -30 minutes. He addresses all my questions and concerns. His office is always clean and sanitary. He gives compassionate care and delivered 2 of my children. He now is guiding me through menopause without hormone replacement therapy. I trust him thoroughly.

Dr.Brooks is a HORRIBLE doctor i went to him at ten weeks for my first apt him being unwilling to see me earlier spend majority of his time on his "physical exam" then went to hear heartbeat and couldnt find it he said everything was fine and its not abnormal to not hear heartbeat he refused to do an ultrasound as i sat and pleaded as to why its important for about 30 min he said ultrasounds are not very useful except for showing baby sex so i left after his rude and incompetant care went to see Dr. Caffereta and found out i had misscarried which is why he couldnt find heartbeat he should of done ultrasound! He is the worst doctor i have evet been to his equipment and office is outdated please save yourself and your unborn child stay away!!!!! I highly recommend Dr. Caffereta she is hands down outstanding but even planned parenthood is a step up from dr brooks!

Dr. Brooks has been attentive to my possible uterine cancer and was extremely proactive in doing diognostics to ensure I did not have it. I would trust him with any family member. Unlike many doctors in Chico, I feel actually taken care of by him!

I stayed in the L&D ward at Enloe for food poisoning . This ended up turning into a diagnosis of pre-term labor, possible pre-eclampisa, and a bunch of other medical stuff. The doctor I was assigned was Brooks. He was rude and ordered unnecessary blood draws and didn't treat an underlining UTI causing the abdominal pain along with the food poisoning. He even drug tested me because of my appearance. It was scary and I don't recommend him.
