I’ve been a client for over 15 years. Going annually to see Dr. Scott Stewart and his staff for cleanings, x-rays, night guards and whatever needed to be done to maintain good oral health. I got braces followed up with yearly retailers due to being a teeth grinder, which leads to needing to replace them quite regularly, at least once a year. This review stems from my appointment in 2019, when I was in for an appointment to have 2 sets of retainers made. The appointment went fine. The ladies gave me my 2 boxes of retainers, I paid my bill and left. The next day when I opened my boxes of retainers and found that I only had 3 retainers total. One box had both an upper and lower, while the other box only had an upper. I called the office a soon as they opened. The office ladies were very helpful. said they would scour the office to see if the missing retainer could be found. Meanwhile, I scoured my purse, car, everything even though until that morning in the house, I had not yet opened the boxes, so I didn't see how I could have lost one (but when something as expensive as retainers is lost, you check everywhere, even if it doesn’t make sense). The office ladies phone me back saying they had no luck finding it, even checked the garbage. They said there would be a note on my file and I would receive a free lower retainer when I had them made next. My next appointment was in November 2020, during covid and they couldn't make retainers or use any power tools (however, they still charge me the same price for my check-up/cleaning. Not cool!). My most recent appointment was November 2021, last month. I was super excited as my retainer situation was in a bad way. I got to the office, and the staff was now humming and hawing over providing me with the replacement lower retainer. I was shown into the examination room, and told the lady that was going to be working on me that I was not prepared to proceed with any further work from their office until we sorted out this retainer situation. Dr. Scott Stewart came into the room and arrogantly (he was down right ignorant) told me there was no way they would be providing me with the replacement retainer, especially not 3-years later (although it was only 2-years later). I again, explained the events that took place (the office ladies had entered everything into my file notes as well), explained I was into the office in Nov.2020, but they couldn’t make the retainer then due to covid. He didn’t care. Said it was too bad for me and if I wanted a new retainer, I’d have to pay. I left the office. I have spent thousands and thousands of my hard-earned money in his office. I do not have a dental plan, so I pay everything out-of-pocket. My teeth are very important to me, obviously as I am willing to pay out-of-pocket to be sure my teeth last me my whole life. Due to this, I will be looking for a new dentist to support. Dr. Scott Stewart has lost my business.
I had to give all 1-stars to emphasize my experience. However the Staff, etc are all good.
