My adult daughter was seeing him. He was prescribing her xanax like it was candy. Even after we called and warned him that she was abusing it along with taking methadone (which is potentially deadly when mixed with xanax) he continue to prescribe it to her ignoring the danger. Sadly one year later my daughter passed away from that deadly mixture. Doctors that deal drugs rather than care for their patients need to be exposed.. If any of you need proof? I have the transcripts. I was able to obtain then after she passed.

Steinke was my Doc for years in Tempe and knew what he was doing, but never really seemed to have a descent bedside manner, and still doesn't.

I had been seeing Dr. Steinke since I was around 7 years old. I am now 28. I truly believe that Dr. Steinke cares. I was extremely taken back when he told that he will no longer be working at the office on Alma School in Chandler and he was moving on to a different venture, Urgent Care. I am absolutely positive that I'm not or could not be the only one who feels this way. He will be missed.

I came to see Doc Skeinke and was refused to be seen even if it was for the 30 sec most docs spend with you for what they are paid to tell me if it is life threating or not and he didn't have the time since the waiting room was empty and it was all over that I was a little late. What happens if it is serious no matter cause her doesn't care. I have to go to urgent care to make sure that my life is ok or is it nothing to be worries about. Caring is not what they are about. Money yes.

I've been a patient for about 3 years. I just really feel as if Dr. Steinke doesn't take the time to really help you during an office visit. He just seems to want to get you "in and out". I guess I am just used to more thorough doctors. The staff is horrible. I needed a referral to a specialist and it took several calls on my part to finally get the required authorization. Not something I want to go through again.

Great Dr. dry sense of humor and good bedside manor. I 've been a patient for about 13 years. And yes moving to a shared practice has degraded the customer service piece somewhat but I understand that it's pretty difficult being a sole provider these days. Given the option I will stay with him and hope things smooth out in the long run. Still the best Doctor I've had since I moved to AZ 22 years ago.

Dr Steinke has been my family's doctor for many0 years and he is great. Unfortunatly, when he moved from private practice to a shared practice, the outstanding service we were used to no longer exists. Sadly, you are put on hold everytime you call (the wait time is extensive with no opportunity to at least leave a message). The MA's and ancillary help seem overwhelmed; a referals took at least 5 business days with daily follow up from the patient. I hope management reads this and choose to address these concerns. I would think excellence in customer service is important.
