Dr.Black goes beyond the standard! He got me diagnosed and speedy help for my cronic problem that other doctors were happy to let me suffer. Dr.Black is kind and goes beyond just helping the immediate problem,,and watches your case interjecting help when its needed. He is my guardian angel. I cant say enough good about him.

Just wondering why he is signing to eliminate vaccines for children entering public school? Does he not believe in vaccines? I hear he does this from a very reliable source.

Dr. Black is thoroughly competent with his surgical skills, I am sure. He also gives great pre-op and post-op explanations and is willing to answer questions. Where he does not shine is his bedside manner when dealing with those who are not imminently going under the knife. He tends to think that his judgment should not be questioned re: management of your condition and he relies too heavily on stats and studies vs. patient experience and history.

Dr. Black is amazing, funny and great bed side manner. He will be removing a lump from my arm in the fall. I feel confident he will get the job done and that I'm in the right hands worth the trip from London

There has been a few great general surgeons at the Elgin General hospital in my lifetime..I must Dr. Black was my last successful hernia surgery March 2020. I was lucky to see Dr. Black in the ER room visit with extreme pain...He took a look and said you need surgery now... within a minute I signed the document and headed up stairs next in line to the ORoom..He is smart experienced and has quick judgement to help...I now have a referral to see Dr. Black for an abnormalitiy with a Cyst.

Dr. BLACK performed my call bladder surgery last November. He was very thorough and insisted on an MRI before the surgery to make sure there were no stones in my bile ducts. They found 4, Dr. Collins solved that problem then Dr. BLACK moved heaven on earth to get my surgery as quickly as possible he is the best.

I was referred to St. Thomas from London. None of the specialists in my home town would accommodate me on an urgent basis. Dr. Black saw me the same week and performed my surgery on an Emergent basis the very next week. I appreciated his compassion and sense of urgency. I was fortunate.

I just had a laparoscopic cholystectomy done by Dr. Black and his team yesterday. Wonderful experience, everyone was very personable, communicative, and competent. Highly recommend!
