Horrible experience. My advice : stay away from her

She can not be a doctor! Too rude, low knowlage (she could not recognize antibiotics). I have really bad experience.

My Mom hasn't had the surgery yet, but all our experiences with both Dr. Ortega and Sue are fantastic!!!

Excellent surgeon with great bedside manner. She literally saved my life! She is a kind and caring person. 😀. Thanks to her I have a second chance at life.

I had 2 hemorhoids banded by dr Sarah Ortega. I bitterly regret doing it. I have been in horrible pain for 3 months after the procedure, and more or less manageable pain since. It's been more than six months, I wonder if I'll ever be again pain free. Secretary Sue is callous and patronizing once any problem appears. They lie regarding the after-procedure complications and pain. Yes, complications can appear. Yes, pain is almost unbearable and can last for months on end. There is no medication to relieve this type of pain. Please, stay away from hemorhoid banding with this dr. Their solution is: cheerfully offering more banding for other (non-bothering) hemorhoids.

First time, hospital called 15 mins before my scheduled appointment time and told me that Dr. Ortega can't come to work that day because she is really ill, so I got rescheduled.
Second time, hospital called again and said Dr. Ortega can't come in that early on the date of my appointment, so have to reschedule to a later time.....

Speaking about consideration of patient's time.... what a joke.

So I am switching hospital as a result. I don't feel any respect from this hospital at all.

I saw Dr. S. ORTEGA, at the Emerg. due to an obstruction in the bowel, and she did emergency surgery. I feel blessed, she was very nice and careing, saw me almost every day had major complications, was there for five weeks, two of them in ICU, and she saved my life, I can highly recommend her, before surgery she was not insulted when I asked for a second opinion, since I did not know her, or about her, she was very graceful and kind, thanks again Dr. Ortega.
