I wen to this doctor for my physical and I was very disappointed with her attitude, when she was asking me questions why I am on disability, and I also told her that I have a handicapped parking permit (the type you hang on your rearview mirror) and she immediately asked "Why?" in a rude way, and I tried to tell her that at times my legs hurt and I do have difficulty walking and she told me that I did not have problems walking when she seen me walk down the hall. I also tried to tell her that my asthma is very bad and when the weather is bad such as extreme heat or cold, etc. I would be out of breath from walking a long distance. She may be a good doctor, but always seems to jump to conclusions about certain stuff.

Dr. Magar is the best family doctor I have ever had. My family has gone to her for years. She is very caring and and has always taken our concerns very seriously. She takes patient care very seriously and is extremely intelligent. I would highly recommend her. If something is above her scope of care she will tell you and make needed referrals and follow up with you. She has never "talked down" to us. She is not fake and tells it like it is which is what I love about her. In my experience she has been very caring and takes her time to answer all my questions.

I disagree with all three of the previous reviews. Dr. Magar has a calm way about her. At first I wasn't sure if this was her lack of interest, but once I saw through this, she was wonderful. I found her calmness comforting and knew that she was listening to everything I disclosed to her about my health. She showed a genuine interest in her own way. Never rushed me, never made me seem unimportant. She might not have had a big grin, or sugarcoat anything. She did a wonderful job, and I would recommend her to anyone. Very professional, very intelligent, a wonderful doctor. She was never bored or intimidating. Ok, she wasn't bubbly or all smiles. But that doesn't mean she wasn't attentive and interested. Wonderful woman....

I went to DR Magar a few years ago, but I still haven't been able to forget how horrible my experience with her was. I got the feeling that she was above my illness, as she seemed utterly bored when I shared my symptoms with her and waved them off like they were nothing. Minor things.(sinus infection) And then she spoke down to me, trying to shut me down when I told her my concerns of not looking into and treating this. Ultimately I was sent home on an antibiotic. Low dose. When the first treatment didn't work I returned and she "sighed" rolled her eyes and told me that I must be doing something wrong and accused me of not taking the full prescription. I went through this a few more times fighting with her to treat this and ended up six months later so sick I stopped at urgent care after work. The Physicians Assistant I saw quickly diagnosed and treated this ongoing infection(1st visit)The PA showed a competency and compassion to genuinely want to TREAT me that I felt Dr Magar lacked.

I went to see Dr. Magar as a new patient. The first time was horrible. I decided to go and give another chance, maybe it was a bad day. I went back a couple more times. Just bad experience. I tried to tell her my symptoms , she did not listen she was very rude and condescending. One time she even said oh that happens to everyone , and told me I was wrong about several symptoms I was trying to tell her. I later asked three other doctors opinions over the phone about something she told me I was wrong about and they all had the same answer, different from hers, and agreed that indeed it was a very important symptom in diagnosis of my issues. I never got any help, I felt intimidated, frustrated, hurt , and angry. I don't understand why you would be a doctor if you didn't want to truly listen to and help your patients. I would never go back to her nor would I ever advise anyone else to. I do think her nurse and staff were very polite.

If you expect your doctor to treat you with respect - then don't go to this one. She was extremely rude, condescending and quite frankly one of the worse doctors I have ever experienced. When I inquired about the tests she was running - she got upset and said I wouldn't understand them - When I inquired about the prescritptions she was issuing ..then too she was rude and didn't bother explaining them - stay away ...she thinks she's God
