Dr. Ronnie Dennis is a wonderful, kind, caring physician. He really goes out of his way to help people. He has delivered so many babies successfully without complications. It is a shame that the Chief of Staff (Mark Mitchiner)of Tuomey took away his privileges. Dr. Dennis is truly one of the best doctors in Sumter, S.C

I had a TAH performed by Dr. Ronald Dennis on April 16, 2014. I am impressed and pleased with my care under Dr. Dennis. I sought out his specialty after years of chronic pain in my abdomen. I had been through the mill of tests year after year, and at age 67; I was, quite frankly, becoming cynical about the whole of medicine and physicians in particular. I thought and felt I had found the right physician following my very first visit with Dr. Dennis. Dr. Dennis ordered a sonogram and a follow up appointment was scheduled for me after the results were available to him. I had three appointments with Dr. Dennis before my surgery. He was reassuring and confident about the necessity of my surgery. I am currently recovering and doing well. On a personal level, I found Dr. Dennis to be a genuinely kind man with a pleasing demeanor. I will recommend Dr.Dennis to any woman of any age, who has concerns about her gynecological health.

I went to Dr. Dennis for two of my three pregnancies. I was a first time mom when I first transferred care to him in 2008. As a first time mom, I trusted him fully with mine and my baby's health -- mistake #1. After reviewing my records, he saw that my baby measured a week ahead at my 9 week dating scan so he changed my due date at 34 weeks pregnant. When I was 38 weeks (by his adjustment), he brought up induction because my uterus was measuring large telling me that there was no doubt my baby would be too large to birth vaginally if I didn't induce at 39 weeks. I was terrified of a C-section so I agreed. At 39 weeks (actually 38) with a bishop score of 1 (which I didn't know at the time), he induced my labor. After FOUR hours on Pitocin, I was at 4cm. He came back a couple hours later and I was still 4cm so he insisted on a C-section since he had already broken my water so I couldn't leave. I was labeled failure to progress. Baby delivered via unnecesarean at 38 weeks :( RUN!

Dr. Dennis delivered a beautiful bouncing baby in 2007. He used everything in his power to make it happen. Tuomey hospital's stupid policies are no match for him. If it wasn't for him, the baby might not have survived. And that is more than can be said. Jay Cox CEO of Tuomey - he doesn't know what matters of life and death are, and how precious are babies. And Chief of Staff Dr. Mark Mitchiner obviously does not know the value of Dr. Dennis and he should not have fired Dr. Dennis for delivering that beautiful baby.
