Kept me waiting for 90 minutes. Rude and not informative regarding procedure. Since found out he nearly lost his practice for multiple DUI

This is the BEST dentist ever!!!! His great sense of humor lightens up even the worst of procedures. Although I was only there with a cavity, he reassured me and calmed my fears. So to whoever wrote bad stuff about him, I don't know how you could ever say such RUDE things! I don't see you getting up everyday with a smile on your face and giving people the confidence of perfect teeth. I don't see you waking up in the middle of the night and rushing to your office to care for a patient with a terrible toothache. Furthermore, I don't think you are a Doctor of Dental Surgery so just write your mean stuff somewhere else! And for your information, he NEVER overcharges and has NEVER done a bad filling in his life. You will NEVER find a dentist as great as him because there are none!

I have been going to Dr. Schaubel for 13 years and have received consistently excellent service. The "average" rating confuses me because from my experience, he is an outstanding dentist with an outstanding staff. Moreover, Dr. Schaubel always seems up-to-date with the most recent technology, and is empathetic in some less-than-pleasant proceedures. Although I started going to Dr. Schaubel when I worked right across the street from his office, I made sure to stay with him, even for a time when I lived 90 minutes away. I now work in Beverly Hills but would not consider changing to someone closer.

He pulled teeth unnecessarily and then filled it with bridges that looked like dentures with heavy metal backing! It was a traumatic experience and my smile will never be the same. I was very disappointed in his choices, his lack of communication and then how he handled his mistakes. There are gifts in everything, I do believe that. From this, I have learned to stand up for myself but I can't exactly recover my natural teeth. It was an expensive and disheartening lesson.

I've both moved around a lot and had dental problems my whole life, thus I've been to dozens of dentists, and Dr. Schaubel is the best I've been to so far. Really cares about his patients, very accessible. I've recommended him to many friends. I hope to stick with him for as long as I live in SoCal.
