This doctor was without a doubt very arrogant as one commenter has reported. She now works for Orthopedic and Sports Medicine of Annapolis. I went there for pain in the ball of my foot which was caused by a stress fracture in the bone of my big toe. I had a similar problem three years prior in the same foot but she didn't want to hear that. She came in, introduced herself and asked what had brought me in that day. I began telling my history and she says she wasn't interested in that. I'm thinking to my self that you might need to know that a had a problem in the same foot in the same place but I guess that wasn't important. I'm not a doctor but I would imagine that a history of the same medical condition would be important. The staff at this location was very friendly and helpful but I would not recommend the doctor.

Dr. Hoffman is really a waste of time if you need expert advice I foot pain. I, too, was suffering from severe foot pain. She did an x-ray and told me to come back in a month. Ny complaints were plantar & nerve pain. She did not offer to do a sonogram, nor did she ask to watch me walk. No offers to help my situation at all. I went to another fantastic doctor who spent 1.5 hours with me, and diagnosed my plantar as being over twice it's normal size due to inflammation, and a neuroma. Don't waste your money or time with Hoffman.

Denise Varquez-Hoffman (DVH) exhibited the perfect blend of arrogance and ignorance. What's more, her staff was worse. Had been referred regarding especially painful bout of plantar fascitiis. The NYC based surgeon that referred me suggested I bring my running shoes for Varquez-Hoffman, who purports to be a sports medicine specialist, to review for wear. DVH and her staff couldn't have been more dismissive or annoyed by the fact that I had brought them. The assistants also were so thoughtless as to forget how thin the walls of their office were when they were laughing at and insulting me out at the their nurses station. What was laughable was DVH's ultimate suggestion that the PF was imaginary....anyone whose ever had a mild case wishes they imagining that discomfort and annoying pain. Take the ZERO, Doc. You should be ashamed of yourself and your staff.
