I was lucky to have him take me as a patient when I saw him in out patients at the hospital. It is a long wait to get a psychiatrist. He is the third psychiatrist I’ve had in my lifetime but not the best one. Yes he follows your medical file closely but other than trying medication after medication I don’t find that when it comes to listening and providing solutions for what you are going through, that he is very effective. Yes medication helps but the therapy part is important to and I do not feel listened to, I don’t feel I get a chance to answer questions fully and I don’t feel understood. I feel like he just hears part of the problem and is quick to write another prescription. I have started reading my own cognitive behavioural therapy books in order to get a better understanding of what it is that I am experiencing and trying to find some answers. I am thinking of just asking my family doctor who listens and understands very well to take over my medications and just talk to him instead of continuing with Dr. Anthony. I feel that my physician has more time and interest in listening to all I need to say. I just feel unheard and misunderstood and why have two doctors that can write prescriptions and only one that listens and gets all the facts instead of cutting you off mid answer to move on to the next question when you haven’t fully answered the first question. How can you prescribe me proper medications when you don’t listen to all the facts.

Dr Anthony is an excellent psychiatrist who not only knows what he is doing but also advocates for his patients for their rights for better mental health care !!! . I have been through many mental health professionals but nothing like what I had experienced with the services he and his support staff have provided for me and my family. We are really fortunate to have him practice here in our community.

This doctor not only saved my life...but i was awed that he took the time to meet me at the hospital as it was an 8 month wait to see him. He had also carefully read my whole medical file...as his first ever question to me was about when i was 5 yrs old. I was floored he took the time to read my whole file!! Positive.. encouraging..honest..very professional...awesome doctor!!!

Dr Anthony although has excellent skills in psychotherapy is unable to do it because of the time constraint . He has very good knowledge of medication therapy and most of the time does refer his patients to therapist locally .

Dr Anthony is a very good doctor . Now he has decided to change his practice to focus on inpatient psychiatric care! even with such busy practice he is able to call and follow through with questions and clarifications about the treatments. His secretary is also equally good to patients very kind and accommodating with the appointments.

Dr Anthony is hands down the best psychiatrist I have ever had. He knows his stuff and has the ability to present this information in a way that is never ever condescending or rude. He is patient, compassionate, and humble. His secretary, Pauline, is equally awesome.
