Was a long time patient. The girls in the office Kristen and Lauren refuse to pick up the phone when I call. Was forced to switch doctors because I couldn't simply make an appointment. I called over 60 times for 8 months (documented) being ignored till I was told by the state of CT to switch doctors during my workers comp case. My back gave out and I can't simply make an appointment here (my doctor that i chose). They left me to fend for myself mid workers comp case. Completely ignoring me while I was in pain when calling my doctor for attention. They left me to find a new doctor because they refuse to answer the phone or simply return phone calls.

He was great with info prior to operation but Mia after. Was Givin a different dr. to do follow up appointments after 2 was no longer able to get in to be seen. Even when I was experiencing problems. It was as if no one cared. Still haven't been able to get my permanent rating or restictions.

Before he talks you into surgery he is cheerful, compassionate and willing to spend a great deal of time discussing your injury and what should be done. As long as your surgery is successful he's great. He will be your best friend. If the surgery fails or there is a complication he doesn't want anything to do with you and becomes unavailable.

Dr. Brown performed a spinal laminectomy on me three years ago. I've had a limp ever since, and now sport a disabled parking tag on my car. He is casual and personable, but I would never recommend him. The procedure apparently injured a nerve in my "good" leg (not the one he was attempting to repair. Later, faced with the negative result of the operation, he claimed not to have been aware of the injury caused by the procedure. I give him a "poor" in all categories.

I have had surgeries to correct other surgeons mistakes. Excellent outcome! Dr.Brown is a remarkable surgeon! His PA, Sarah is amazing! His staff is wonderful too! Excellent outcome and experience with this office!

Beware the friendly, amiable person. Performed unnecessary major surgery, and never saw me for follow-up visits, which were conducted by his PA. Surgery completely unsuccessful. Confirmed with other neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons that there was no evidence in his and other x-rays that the condition he diagnosed (loose hardware in the spine) was confident could be "corrected" with surgery ever existed. A terrible waste!

I told him I thought of him like Patch Adams only because he was funny and made me feel at ease kinda like we were friends he didn't talk down to me I felt like I was in very good hands and as far as his Asst. she is Tops as well. I would and do tell every one to go to him if needed

He is pleasant and seems knowledgeable upfront. If however, a complication arises from your treatment he disappears and forgets your name. He tries to pawn you off on one of the areas other doctors who have been sued because of him. These other local doctors refuse to see you because of being sued in the past. I had to go to New York to be corrected. Be wary of this friendly smily face.
