Yesterday I visited Dr. Vertes for the first time. I was very impressed with his professionalism and confidence. He was patient. He told me I have no issues with my heart and needs no follow up. Thank God.

Dr. Vertes misdiagnosed me. He told me that a didn't have congestive heart failure even though all the tests from SGH said I did. I had a BNP of over 700 when normal is below 100. He said that was nothing to worry about. I saw a different cardiologist after that who is extremely knowledgable. Now my BNP is over 4,000. My shortness of breath was so bad that I could barely breathe. I was gasping for breath. When this new cardiologist saw me he told me he would have me a new person in 2 days. I thought he was being arrogant but lo and behold he was right. I wasn't gasping for air and could breathe normal again. I didn't think that was possible. I'm so glad I found this other cardiologist.

Very kind and polite to his patients. Makes you feel comfortable knowing that you are in his presence. Listens to every detail while dealing with your heart health. 5Stars all the way.

Dr Vertes has been my father-in-law's cardiologist for many years. I have recently attended 3 in person visits with him and I am so impressed with both Dr Vertes and his receptionist, Madeleine. He takes time to answer all our questions, is thorough, punctual and pleasant.

Dr Vertes attended to my serious medical needs back in Jan 1986. He still attends to my injury from my head on car accident back 35 years ago. Absolutely no complaints, he safe my life.

Unfortunately, he misdiagnosed me. He sees way too many patients in a day. He rushed through things. Not sure if he is up to date. I got a second opinion from another cardiologist who was much more precise.
