Doctor Iyer did not even know about the hydrogen peroxide contact lense care systems, i.e. clear care, availabe in the U.S. at pretty much every regular drugstore, and insisted these systems are only available in Europe. I had been diagnosed with giant papillary conjunctivitis during my travels and had gotten steroid drops to treat this from the Jules Stein Eye Institute in LA along with recommendations to change my contact lense care solution. I visited Dr. Iyer because upon my return to Dallas the GPC resurfaced. Dr. Iyer prescribed a different steroid drop for two months for which I needed to refill my prescription. Not only was there a mixup with the office staff who claimed I only needed to pay my copay on the next followup visit (now I am getting bills for the initial visit), I was unable to refill my prescription at another drugstore because the office refused to send the paperwork. Dr. Iyer did not return my emails about straightening out the prescription. Poor service.
