Did my epidural at 9 cm and had me laughing. Amazing!

I was nervous going into my foot surgery but Dr.Retallick quickly made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I couldn't have asked for a better doctor. He even had me laughing before I went in. He's great and really deserves an award. What a great and caring person.

I was a little worried when he said there was no way he would put me under sedation with Carcinoids as I still had tests yet to come back from Toronto .... I was relieved he knew so much about carcinoids and carcinoid crisis as it can kill a patient when put under sedation . Dr . Rick explained everything and asked if I had questions , wish more doctors were like him . When i do have my surgery I am going to ask for him as I was comfortable with him , no stress . The DECH is lucky to have him . Very nice , caring and a pleasure to meet in a stressful time .

Dr. Retallick was amazing. He made my 6 year old step daughter laugh before hip surgery (after 2 days of nausea and vomiting and being without food. Extremely caring and funny. I wish all doctors had the bedside manner as he.

Awesome bedside manner. Made my 4 year old laugh before his tonsillectomy surgery. Spoke to my son directly and explained in detail what he was going to do. Also made us as parents relaxed that our son was in good hands. :-)

Great bedside manner, very professional; made my 5 year old who was quite anxious very comfortable and at ease. Cannot rate him high enough; one of the few doctors I have experienced in NB that showed he was very knowledgeable and cared :)

Dr. Rick has been my anaesthesiologist during 2 procedures and he has been great both times. He explained everything to me and told me he would breath for me. There are not many people I would trust to do that but he had such a calming effect on me that I had no doubt all would be fine. I hope if I ever have to have anaesthetic again that he is the one giving it. Great job, Rick!

I was very scared and in a lot of pain when they did my shoulder replacement because of an injury and he told me exactly what to expect, how they were going to place me after he put me to sleep and before I woke up so I wouldn't feel anything, what was going to happen and if I had any previous medical problems, other surgeries, etc. Dr. Rick totally eased my fears and was very thorough in his questioning. He assured me that while the surgeon was looking after my shoulder, he would be looking after me and he did.
