Their must be another Dr Dotson because the one I meet was awful. Comes in the room, and out she goes ...faster than a race horse. Her side kick nurse is terrible.

When I had my first appointment with Dr. Dotson, she was fantastic. Her and the nurse, Katie Henke, seemed committed to helping me. They told me I wasn't crazy & they would figure it out what was causing my POTs or if it was something else. However, crazy was exactly how they made me feel. Katie repeatedly told me that their department doesn't treat my symptom of high blood pressure (I wanted meds to lower HR & BP) and I should tell my primary care doctor. She brushed me off and made me feel bothersome. At one point I felt the medication I was on was making my symptoms worse, and asked to be taken off. Katie said to go off it, but did not prescribe anything else or suggest any treatment. When I asked for a treatment, she prescribed the exact same medication I had just told her was making me worse. Today, I asked them a question and they said "patient does not need to tell us every time she is dizzy" which is very condescending. I'm not sure how much I was treated by Dr. Dotson vs Katie.

don't go here for emg, she will torture you. why use a little electricity, when she can fry your nerves? there is a much better doctor at Mayfair who knows how to administer an emg.

Dr. Dotson knows what she is talking about but seems too busy to give enough attention to a cetrain patient. Her nurse is super rude but that isn't Dr. Dotsons fault. Communication on results isn't the best either. But she is very smart and a nice lady.

Dr. Dotson found the diagnosis for the neuromuscular disease that I have suffered with most of my lifetime. Nobody else could. God bless you Doctor.

Dr Dotson takes her time with her patients, after initial interview by her RN ( very extensive and detailed) she proceeds to take more history followed by a very detailed exam. She is very friendly and knowledgeable. She truly cares!
