After 5 months of regular appointments a series of painful shots in my ankle for one issue I developed another issue. When I pointed out I had a lump and that area was painful he became almost angry saying “I have too much going on and he can’t deal with more than one issue at a time” this after spending months of sometimes weekly appointments spending hundreds of dollars on orthotics and pain creams insurance doesn’t cover he accused me of being non compliant (in a passive aggressive way) gave me an air cast and said come back in 2 weeks and let’s see if you can be compliant enough to get some relief! Disgusting! Gaslighting behavior and I’m just beyond upset! 5 mo wasted continuous pain still there and now a cyst on my ankle that he says “should cause discomfort “. Do not go here. It may be ok at first but if you have a real issue he will make you feel like you are faking and non compliant.

Dr. Toback mutilated my toes by trimming way too deep into the perimeters of my toe nails. This caused massive infections that lasted over 3 months and hasn't fully healed yet. He sold a product to me that did not work and actually made things worse than before. The nail became weak and brittle. Warning! Do not see this doctor.

I developed a problem that I learned through a friend was plantar fasciitis. After suffering on and off for about 2 years, I went to Dr. Toback. He seemed a little arrogant to me and I found his approach to be very aggressive. Rather than trying to trouble-shoot and find a non-invasive way to remediate my PF, (and THEN moving to a more aggressive treatment if the others failed), he injected my ankle with a cortisone shot (YOW-ZAH! Painful!), and directed me to return for follow-up shots each month. Then had me sign an agreement that if the series of cortisone shots didn't solve my problem I would agree to pay about $800.00 out of pocket for custom-fitted orthopedic shoe inserts as my insurance company would likely NOT cover their cost. (of course, the ins. carrier declined to do so). Anyway, I decided to stop going to Dr. Toback and I finally figured out ON MY OWN that it was a particular pair of sandals that I wore all summer long that was causing my problem. Now, I have a permanent, slight discomfort in my ankle that was never there before, most likely from the unnecessary cortisone shot that was given to me by Dr. Toback. The office staff was very nice, though, so I don't want to bash them.

Not only is this doctor rude and arrogant but he has absolutely no people skills. Patient care should be a priority and NOT insulting his employees in front of Patients or other people. How these people stay working for him is beyond my comprehension. Sitting in his waiting area should be calming before you go see a doctor, but Not with the Great Doctor "T", its more of anxiousness and discomfort on how he will belittle his staff and his patients. I stopped going there in December. Will not recommend him to anyone.

I had bunion surgery and after surgery I was in a wheel chair for 2 months going back and forward to the Dr,Toback complaining of my problem. The doctors office attempted to hide and delay important info conclusion regarding my surgery. I even asked them for my records and which some were tampered with, I had to go out of Dutchess County to find another doctor only to run test and found out that I had developed nerve damage. I had to go to another surgery but was never the same. Dr, Toback in Dutchess and Kingston be aware and check to see if they have malpractice complaints.

Dr. Toback performed surgery on my toe. He put in an implant improperly, possibly broke the toe during a visit (can't be confirmed as he would not share the x-rays with my new doctor). When I requested the x-rays, he was going to charge me. I had to have a fusion put in by a new doctor and have no bone left in my toe due to the extensive work needed to fix the original surgery. He also charges a copay every time a patient walks through the door, while other doctors consider post-surgical care to be part of the process. Additionally, he gave me 2 orthotics that did not match in size, but insisted I come in and pay a copay to have them changed. I left the practice and have since found a wonderful doctor.

Only wanted to sell his products, then blamed me for being noncompliant with treatment when I didn't spend the money on his stuff. He was very arrogant and even rude to his staff. Would not recommend.
