I thought I was the only one found this doctor rude and racist, but I can see there are a lot of people who experience her bad rudeness. Not only she is rude, she does not know anything when it comes to diagnoses of female uterus issues. She just made some stupid policies in her place to make people think that she is some kind of specialist. Wrong people !!! She does not know anything about that. All she knows to make you go there again and again, so she can bill the government for your visit. I would not trust her with my pet, forget about diagnosing humans issues.

This doctor couldn't diagnose my endometriosis although I had 2 ultrasound with her and both showed chocolate cysts, severe debilitating pain not responding to pain killers
During that time frame my cysts in ovaries getting bigger every month eventually I ended up in surgery by a different Dr upon that Dr's diagnosis. If I had chosen my second Dr earlier, I would have noninvasive treatment not surgery.

She was very rude and dismissive. Arguably a racist individual but probably just old and bitter. Would not recommend under any circumstances.

I got a referral to Marie Rutherford. Heard she was in of the best , only to hear she refused my referral but still accepting patients . I asked what was the reason and was told the doctor has a right to refuse referral. Wow . I’ve never heard of this practice unless the doctor is not accepting patients. No reason given at all

Run for the hills. You would think a women of colour being sensitive to a next women of colour especially when it comes to child birth. I’ll never forget her words to me on the delivery bed “stop screaming the baby isn’t that big”. Yes she’s a black gynaecologist but unapproachable and insensitive. If you don’t like your job find a different profession.

Dr. Rutherford is very patient, kind and knowledgeable. She is very considerate and makes you feel empowered. During my first pregnancy, she didn’t hesitate to refer me to a few specialists based on my needs. She was also there when I was supposed to be induced and when there was a complication she was stern but kind and said, it’s time sweetheart, we have to proceed to a c-section. Although I was nervous, she made me feel safe to proceed to surgery.

With my second pregnancy, I also had some complications but she made me feel empowered and helped me on a tough day when I felt powerless and like I wasn’t doing my best to take care of myself. We had decided to go for a planned csection and everything went as scheduled. She was great. I highly recommend her.

I’ve been very lucky to have her deliver both my children.
