I would go to a another doctor. staff are not good

When you finally get in to see him, he’s actually very helpful. The secretaries are rude and unhelpful. I’d try a different doctor if you’re looking.

The receptionists are rude. The doctor makes you wait for at least an hour because he overbooks to bill out as many people as possible. The office is more concerned about getting people through to make money than they are about the patients’ actual health. The only reason he has patients still is because he’s located in Fort McMurray and people don’t have an option up there due to lack of supply.

I was never one for bad things to say.. However ever since moving into the new space I’ve had nothing but trouble :( I’ve never felt more pushed off, and dismissed as a patient. My hcg levels dropped during early pregnancy, I was sent for an emergency ultrasound, and then he wouldn’t see me. I went to emerg a week later to be told I should expect a miscarriage. Fast forward to recent, I called to book an appointment and was harassed for missing a prenatal appointment (which was due to miscarriage) reception was snarky and arrogant. I still booked my appointment, explaining I had things going on, and had been to emerg. I showed up only to be spoken to like a child, and to be told I would only be able to talk to him about the results of bloodwork from emerg and nothing else so that he wouldn’t fall behind.. I waited 45 minutes to be seen after my 9am time slot. I’ve never felt more frustrated with the health care I’ve received.

Terrrible experience will not be coming back to this Dr. Was going to refuse medical service as I did not want to have my weight taken. Person working the front desk absolutely no professionalism what so ever. People came in behind and were taken in first even though sitting for an hour. Very very poor service.

The frontline staff horrible. 45 minutes on hold . Who takes 45 minutes to answer a call. Disorganized or what?

He has helped me a lot. Not just a pill pusher. Referred me too specialist that has helped me tremendously when other in town just prescribed more and different medications

I'd give less than 0 in some areas if possible. Over an hour wait times, when you call you're put on hold for 5-15 minutes and staff can be pretty rude. I'm pregnant and went in because I believed I had a yeast infection (never had one before so I was unsure). The staff took my blood pressure 3 times because it wouldn't work the first two (because of the equipment) then when I asked if I could use the washroom or if the Dr would be taking a urine sample she told me she would ask the doctor and get back to me. I waited an hour and asked multiple times but kept being told to wait. When I got in to see him he didn't even examine me he just prescribed me an oral capsul which I question if was safe considering I was pregnant. He insisted it was fine but when I went to fill my prescription the pharmacist asked if I was pregnant and told me I absolutely can not take them as they are unsafe for the baby.

He’s a good doctor makes you feel comfortable and easy to talk to. I’m a person who’s very nervous around and has a fear of doctors and I have no problem talking with him he takes the time to explain information to you and you can tell he truly does care about his patients. His staff can be a little rude and inpatient but it is a very busy clinic and wait times can be long probably because Dr. Onwukwe takes the extra time with his patients. Both my wife and myself go to him and find him very friendly, understanding and compassionate. If his staff were a little nicer and the wait times were better he’d get 5 stars across the board.
