Dr. Gilstrap was my primary physician for over two years. He was always nice but doesn't really engage in the shared decision-making process of treatment (where I come in with knowledge about conditions that I have been treated for 20-plus years and we discuss options). I fired his office when I asked for advice through the portal (about whether it was safe to temp. stop my life-saving medicine, a blood thinner, before a procedure - noting that I already had done so in prep for my procedure) and I didn't receive a response to my health concerns, just a notice that I needed to make an appointment. I thought he was my trusted primary care physician but his office proved to me that they are more concerned with profits than patients.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Gilstrap for years! We have never considered going anywhere else. The nurses are amazing and Dr. Gilstrap is super helpful and will send you to the best specialists when necessary. 10/10 would recommend!

Absolutely the best Doctor I have ever encountered. He cares about his patients and takes the time to talk about possible options that is best for your overall health. Highly recommend him! The staff is awesome as well!!

Great staff, but cannot recommend this practice. Had a terrific doctor who left to take job at VA and have felt like the doctors I was reassigned to are not trustworthy and often rude.

Dr. Gilstrap & his staff are the BEST! Cyndi &Shannon go beyond their jobs to get me an appointment! I hope this office realizes what a blessing it is to have them! They always get me in when I'm sick and Dr. Gilstrap and his nurses take the best care of me and my family. Even though I know they are busy, all of his staff makes time for you. I recommend this doctor to everyone I know! First class in putting patients first!
