Dr. martin. I have been a patient for 15+ years. I have experienced multiple heart problems over the past 3 years. All tests were ordered and reviewed, specialist were contacted as necessary. He is extremely knowledgeable as well, highly introverted not a people person however highly caring. While in Nanaimo Hospital recently I found him very caring of myself and other patients. All of us must make allowances for the current times, our Doctors are stretched with a huge number of patients.

Dr Martin is incredible. Supported my moms hospital admission and end of life with compassion beyond anything I’ve seen from former doctors. Thank you

Dr. Martin was our family doctor from 2012 to 2016 when he relocated from Qualicum to Nanaimo; unfortunately his Qualicum practice was taken over by a bungling idiot most folks hated, who left town in disgrace. Dr. M was always professional and reliable – we could trust him to correctly diagnose our problems and issue referrals or prescriptions that kept my husband and I healthy while we were under his care. His office staff were also quite professional and responsive and there was rarely a long wait to see him. He took good care of us and Qualicum lost an excellent family doctor when he relocated.

I have been seeing Dr. Martin for over 2 years. I came to him with severe anxiety and depression, and he has been patient, kind, understanding, and empathetic. He was supportive of me taking time off work, and helped normalize my situation that I felt very uncomfortable about. He comes across aloof, but I think he his actually a bit shy and awkward.

Prior to seeing Dr. Martin, I had spoken with another doctor about my mental health and left that appointment in tears from feeling so embarrassed and alone. I always walk away from appointments with Dr. Martin feeling empowered and understood.

Followed Kevin Martin from Qualicum to Nanaimo as well. He has absolutely no patience for questions and older patients. Told me to find another Dr. He is arrogant, extremely rude and cares only about the next patient coming in so he can make as much money as possible. Told us our demographic was responsible fir the problems in today’s health care. Worst Dr we have ever had. Do not recommend him at all.

I followed Dr Martin from Qualicum and have always been grateful for his willingness to order tests, his great connections with specialists in the area, which cuts down on wait time, and his efficiency. The life of a GP must be so challenging, listening to a myriad of complaints day in and out. He is there for me when I need him.
