My life has been destroyed by this man. He has a personality that makes one feel they can really trust him and that you have more a friendship than a Dr.-Patient relationship. In this way, it is easier to communicate your problems to him, which should be an enormous advantage with a psychiatrist; alas, it lures you into a false sense of security and trust.
Due this, I was severely over medicated on some meds and unnecessarily medicated with others, and at NO point in time did he ever give informed consent on any of the meds...a legal requirement! (I learned the hard way.) A deadly down side to his "friendship" with his patients; you trust he won't harm you. When he was put on probation and being monitored by the board he forced me to begin discontinuing the meds he'd had me on for over a decade. He had no idea whatsoever how to do so & put my life in jeopardy and then fired me às a patient when I ended up in hospital due his withdrawal protocol. I am STILL trying to get off the meds with as little damage to my brain and body and soul as possible and it's been almost 6 years! I have no life, poor health, on disability, my careers over years ago, and very little hope for a future.
This should never have happened.
There was no need to try killing me w/meds for anxiety disorder.
Wish I'd been wise to the situation beforehand, and I can only hope that if you read this, you research any med a Dr puts you on thoroughly before taking it. Learn what withdrawal is like.
If one person reads this and is spared the life ending outcome of what many of this drs patients meet, I'll be thrilled & grateful and overcome with relief!
