I've gone to Dr. Wellman for 20 years now. I've had numerous gynecological problems and I trust him 100%. He always answers my questions and finds solutions that work for me. My visits are usually quick (there are sometimes holdups, but I don't mind, he has emergencies). He has even returned my calls personally on several occasions. He is an excellent doctor that cares about his patients. His staff is amazing too. I always recommend him. I won't see anyone else!

I had an emergency ovarian cyst removed along with appendix, two surgeons. Dr. Wellman was one. I have chronic migraines that my GP and I have been managing quite well for several years, but it involves narcotic pain medicine. I follow all the directions about what I'm supposed to do, but in the follow up appts after my surgery, he locked onto the narcotic use and refused to answer my questions about post op pain, even said laughingly, he'd blame it on the other surgeon since he wasn't present. I've had quite serious pain for the last several days, nearly a week now, but he didn't even examine me, just told me how he was saving my life. He went so far as to call my GP to tell him he didn't know what he was doing Rx'ing me and he'd better stop. Now I'm left with not only post op pain and the fear that something is wrong, but the stress of wondering if my GP is still going to be willing to treat my migraines. Arrogant, condescending and uncaring. I left in tears.

Dr. Wellman is by far the best OBGYN doctor in the BN area. He saved my life twice! Thank you, Doctor Wellman.

Dr Wellman was called in by my 14 year old daughter's primary doctor when she had a ruptured ovarian cyst which left her with a large amount of fluid in her pelvis (very painful). Apparently, he was upset that the primary had tried to manage the situation and called him in on the case 24 hours later so he took it out on my daughter & me. I have never been talked to so rudely in my life and due to the fact that I was exhausted, just looked at him dumbfounded as he "went off" like a two year old having a temper tantrum because he was mad about the primary doctor calling him in on the case after my daughter had been hospitalized 24 hours. He was rude, condescending and completely inappropriate. Apparently, he is known for the "Jekyll & Hyde" personality and people either love him or hate him. I had gone to Dr Dan Nord for 15 years but severed all ties with him since Wellman is part of the same practice. I never want to see this pompous, arrogant man ever again. Proceed w/ caution.

I will never recommend this doctor. He was my OB-Gyn after my wonderful doctor retired. He delivered my 2nd son. I have been going through a miscarriage for several days. I thought I could turn to my own OB doctor to get an appointment. His office said I owed money that I did NOT. It was found to be paid in full. I supposedly owed money for a C-section?! I have never had a c-section in my life. I am not feeling well. I don't know what is wrong really. However, this doctor and his office REFUSE to see me. I don't owe them anything. If anything bad should happen to me, this Dr. will be sued. I was never very impressed by him when I was under his care. Now I can't even get any care from him while I am day 5 into a miscarriage and feeling pretty unwell. I cannot believe the uncaring and blatantly irresponsible atttitude of his practice.

Dr. Wellman has delivered all 3 of my babies and has been my gynecologist for the past 6 years. I trust him 100% with my pregnancies and gynecological care. He is the most knowledgeable and proactive doctor I have been to. In the past year, I have had 3 friends switch to him in the middle of their pregnancies - all of whom have been so happy with him/his staff - both in their prenatal care and deliveries. He is highly recommended by the labor and delivery nurses who see it all, which is why I chose him in the first place. I would recommend him time and time again! His staff is wonderful as well - very caring of their patients.

I absolutely love Dr. Wellman. He is fabulous. He always takes my concerns very seriously and answers any and all questions that I have. Although he was not on call when my first daughter was born (Dr's are humans too and have lives outside of the hospital!), he was determined to be there for the 2nd child and he was! He was so kind and he did sing happy birthday to our daughter. He saw me every day I was in the hospital, even on his day off! I was sad when I had my postpartum check up because that meant I was not going to be seeing him or his staff for awhile. His staff is excellent as well!

I am happy with Dr. Wellman and his staff. They are helpful and professional. My visit is usually fast, I tell them if I have any concerns and nurse would write and forward it to Dr. Wellman, the rest is usual exam. During the exam, I understand that he and the nurse would talk just about any topic to make me relax and distract me from being nervous. Well, I do appreciate that! :)) My ex is an obgyn doctor also, so I am familiar with this 'distracting technique'. Doctors and nurses are human too. Please treat them respectfully just how we want them to treat us.

Dr. Wellman is a great, compassionate doctor. He takes the time to explain things & answer any questions. If you feel like you may have a problem, he orders tests to find out & calls you back with the results. Even when he is busy, you never feel like he is hurrying your appointment. I would highly recommend him!
