Have known Dr. Abdulla since 2008, and trust him as our family physician to provide the excellent care and support needed to keep our family healthy and well. The system does not make it easy for a doctor to practice to the best of their abilities, but he is knowledgeable, professional and a good listener and communicator who understands patient needs.

I have been a patient of Dr. Abdulla's for about ten years. While he is a skilled doctor, you can almost never see him. For in person appointments, I have often had to wait over one hour beyond my scheduled appointment time. The clinic administration is not very good, although is improved over the years. If I could, I would switch to a new clinic, but unfortunately is it so difficult to get a family doctor in Ottawa. If you go for an in person appointment, bring something to read!

My confidence in the ability of Dr Abdulla to satisfy my own health needs as well as those of my family occured when we first met him more than 15 years ago. Not only did he then recommend a comprehensive and up to date health tests, to assess our health status, but he also insisted that we follow the conclusions of such tests. This practice has continued to this day, although disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted on some services.
Dr. Abdulla staff, both office and professionals are generally devoted to their work. They are similarly respectful of client's needs.
An important attribute of Dr Abdulla is the role he allows one to play in the entire health care needs. He is very attentive which allows one to be
comfortable in discussing issues and treatment options. Dr Abdulla does not hesitate to seek second opinion, if necessary and /or referral to
specialist and sometimes if this means referral to hospitals and facilities outside the Ottawa area. This practice is greatly appreciated.
From my experience over the past 15 years, I would recommend him to my friends as
A Good Doctor in Ottawa.

I have been seeing Dr Abdulla for many years now, along with my 3 daughters. Our telephone appointments are every bit as helpful as in person. He always gives us all of our options, surgical, natural, medication. It really helps to know what each option offers and he always asks leadership-type questions such as, what is your goal? What do you hope to get out of this? Then what? These questions are critical when trying to sort out the right choices. I keep medical notes for myself and children for each appointment, medication, and outcome. I have also seen things in that waiting room over the years that have opened my eyes to how selfish some patients can be by being rude to his staff and being ignorant about not removing dirty, wet footwear and how absolutely kind-hearted they can be to give up a chair or offer appointment swaps so a mother with young, sick children can go first. Dr Abdulla does not discriminate and he treats everyone the same. He understands that people in pain are not always their right selves and that you need to walk a mile in someone else’s shoes to really know. His fairness and understanding is truly amazing. Teaching all of these doctors from many different countries is also reflective of his values.

My husband and I left a horrible situation, we we were only allowed one question. When my husband got sick and our family doctor wasn’t prepared to do anything, Dr. Abdulla saw us immediately and got Bill comfortable till he could get him in to a specialist. Dr. A dual language worked his magic, saw a specialist two days later with surgery the next day. We have always found Dr. Abdulla so easy to talk to because he actually listens and responds. If he says he is going to something, he does it. I value the relationship we have with him. His office staff are very responsive as well. I called for a telephone appointment stating, I really need to speak to Dr. Abdulla, I got one for the next morning. The ladies out front have always been so nice and very kind to us. We wouldn’t dream of changing doctors. You not find a more capable, caring doctor and very nice office staff in the Ottawa area.
