Horrible doctor. Talks in circles. Has you come in and waste your time knowing he isn't going to do anything for you. He's very condescending. Huge ego. Loves giving your daughter hope when there's none. Just a heads up don't take your teenagers here, at least not to this one. All he says is " you're still growing". He knew her age before he saw her and she has been twice. He's not a nice person. Like at all. He actually asked my daughter if I was drunk the last time I was in there. Very unprofessional. I'm sure he'll respond and lie. He just wants your money. He's not interested in really helping you. He cusses at you also. Told me I was pissed at me. Yep, I normally get that way when dealing with jerks who just lie. Save yourself the headache and go to Savannah plastic surgery on Hodgson memorial drive. They're nice and understanding and actually care.

Dr. John D. Paletta's response
My goal is to provide compassionate care and give medical advice as if it were a family member sitting across from me. For every patient I encounter in which surgery may be an option I ask myself several questions. Can the condition be corrected with surgery? Am I capable of performing the surgery successfully ? Does the patient have realistic expectations? If answer answer to any of these questions is no then it would be unethical for me to operate upon that patient. If the answer is yes then we look at what factors may maximize the chance for success. These include timing of surgery, evaluating and stabilizing any underlying medical conditions etc. if we come to a decision to perform surgery or a decision to not perform surgery it is always done with the patient’s best interest in mind.

Went to Dr. Paletta's to address a small cyst and was told I had two options: remove it or drain it. Before making my decision I asked for the out of pocket costs for the two options. Dr. Paletta's scheduler, Erica, told me that because the doctor was on my health plan but the surgical center was not, that they'd be billing either option as an office visit - so no matter what option I chose it would be $15 total, so I had the cyst removed. I asked specifically if there would be any further bill and Erica told me that there would not be. I found out that Erica lied to me when I received a bill for $275. I tried multiple times to address the issue with the office, including speaking with Erica. She told me she'd discuss the matter with Dr. Paletta and call back, but she didn't. When I received the second bill I spoke with the billing department who left a message with Erica to call me back. She never did.

I had a breast augmentation (480cc) on July 25th 2019 with Dr. Paletta at the Georgia Institute for Plastic Surgery in Savannah, Georgia. The whole process was everything you could want. From the phone call with Dani to make the initial consultation appointment to current one month post op appointment with Michelle and Dr. Paletta! Everyone was so personable, friendly and most importantly honest.
The day of my surgery was relaxing and stress free Hillary got me set up in my own room while I approached surgery time. Dr. Paletta came in to drawl and asked if I had any last questions or concerns and eased my mind a bit more!
After surgery I recovered and was picked up to head home! While I was still groggy, I was still up and moving around!
Day 2- I was very swollen (as expected) but not in as much pain as I anticipated! I listened to my body and took my pain medication & rested when I needed it (first 3 days)
Day 4- TAKE YOUR LAXATIVES & stool softeners!!!! My body was retaining all the water I was drinking. Between the pain medication, not having a bowel movement and getting my period on top of it all my abdomen was SO swollen. By my second dose of laxatives, and a bowel movement later my swelling subsided (day 5!)
1 weeks post op - Dr. Paletta checked out my progress and Michelle removed and replaced my bandages! We went over any questions and concerns (numb/ over sensitive nipples) as well as breast massages.
One month post op- feeling great!! Scars are healing, swelling and tightness is going down, breast are beginning to soften, able to lift more weight & exercising (again listening to my body!)
After having and nursing 2 kids, my breasts were not what they used to be, neither was my self confidence. My fiancé’s support and encouragement, Dani’s reassurance and sense of humor, Michelle’s genuine way of easing my mind, and making me feel comfortable, and Dr. Palettas knowledge, way of including my fiancé, flawless work and honesty - I showed him pictures of what breast sizes I liked and he advised me “they are too big for your frame/ you won’t be happy with those results as they are too small, these certain sizes would be a happy medium” I chose 480cc and he confirmed I would be happy and they would be perfect for my frame- what more could you ask for?
I am over the moon happy with my results and how well I am healing and feeling! Everyone that knows me and sees me says “ I got my glow back!” I can’t wait to continue to see my results get even better!

I had bariatric surgery in 2017. Due to the weight loss my panniculus hung down more than 3 inches below my vaginal area, causing great discomfort and recurring infections. I was referred to Dr. Paletta for a panniculectomy. I could not have been more pleased with the entire experience. Dr. Paletta and his team were very patient and informative from day one. Dr. Paletta explained the procedure and what to expect, answered all my questions and was there to help me through it all. From start to finish, Dr. Paletta and his staff took great care of me. Dr. Paletta gave me my quality of life back. Great doctor, great staff, great experience...best decision ever!

When I first met with Dr. Paletta, I had old breast implants that were both encapsulated and the left implant ruptured. I honestly thought that I was beyond help and just ignored that part of my body , and basically never looked in the mirror. My surgery was extensive and obviously required a surgeon with great skill, and that is what I found in Dr. Paletta. I am now three months post op and am absolutely thrilled with my results, and look in the mirror often. Thank you Dr. Paletta, Michelle, and Dani for everything!!! :)

Dr Paletta is the best. My husband and I couldn’t be happier with my Brazilian butt lift. His nurses always called me back immediately any time I called with a question before and after my surgery.

This spring (2017), I noticed an itchy red lesion on my back that wouldn’t heal. I contacted Dr. Paletta’s office for a consultation. Dr. Paletta looked at the area and explained what he saw and discussed several treatment options. I elected to have the lesion removed the following week. The staff is efficient, professional and very pleasant. A few days later, Dr. Palleta called to tell me the pathology results (benign) and told me if I needed him to just call. I had a follow up visit about ten days later. Again, Dr. Paletta and staff were great. Overall, I rank him highly due to his skill, intelligence and friendly manner.

Dr. Paletta and his staff were fantastic. He not only rearranged his schedule so that I could have limited time off work, he made everything very manageable. My husband and I were comfortable with him and his staff from the first appointment. When I call with a concern, I got to talk to a nurse right away and didn't have to wait for a call back. I definitely felt like they were genuinely concerned with my care and still are. Even though I am not scheduled to go back for several months, he urged me that if I need anything to call. I am extremely pleased that I chose to have him perform my procedure and am very happy with the outcome.

Odd that I no longer see my comments from 4 years ago - mine was a warning - he is not honest - did not tell me the truth for 8 months - I found out the truth when I asked for a 2nd opinion and a copy of my op report - 8 months of extreme discomfort following eye surgery - not the surgery that was explained, info mailed to me prior to surgery and consent signed. While signing insurance consents I was asked to sign one for Medicare which turned out to be for another surgery - thus I have 2 different consents signed. I had to go to Atlanta for 2 reconstructive surgeries which have added to my comfort but far from correcting what he did. Not a day goes by that I don't resent him for doing a surgery that he should not have done and was not even qualified to do. He probably never thinks about it, but I hope he learned something from it. Had he not denied what he did I could have had additional surgeries much sooner. I also noticed that the 2 doctors who were with him then (one of whom who was called in during my surgery when Dr. Paletta couldn't figure out what to do) are no longer in practice with him - I don't blame them!
