Very easy to work with. Doesn't just tell you what to do, suggests what he'd like to see and is accommodating if you feel otherwise.

Dr. Mercer is a wonderful, caring person and I am very lucky to have him as my doctor especially in a time like this where it is so hard to get a family doctor. He is so knowledgeable and genuinely cares about my mental and physical health. His office staff are always kind to me as well, and his nurse is the best.

I make my appts. first thing in the morning & sometimes I have to wait 10 mins. I have called for
an appt. if needed right away & have got one in 2 or 3 days.

Been to see Dr. Mercer with one of my parents. We wait typically 45 minutes or more to see him (with a booked appointment time). Trying to actually get an appointment in a reasonable time frame also appears to be difficult. Not a proactive doctor.

He is the best GP around. Takes the time to understand your issues and explains things in an easy to understand manner. Very practical and kind.

Lucky to have this Dr in our community..cant say enough good things about him..imagine a Dr who while not able to save your parent called you later that night just to see how you were managing...so thoughtful and kind...his staff are amazing as well.

I have been going to Dr. Mercer as well as my family for at least 25 years he delivered one of my kids he is amazing he is patient and kind very knowledgeable and always willing to listen with an open mind I would not change doctors ever my biggest concern is that we are close in age so if he retires which he will when we both become seniors who will take care of us I hope there is another doctor mercer then cause we will need one

Been my families doctor for many years now and I would not ever consider a change. He is Always personable, caring and helpful. I moved a way and now travel for my appointments, and it is worth it. While wait times can be lengthy (which is understandable) for the most part I have seldom waited more than 45 mins. Excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking.

my family and i were on of the first patients of his when he came to port perry and have been going here for 20+ years. i got my parents to switch shorty after. until recently i would have recommended him with highest regards. now it seems he is too busy and doesn't have the time to treat his patients with care. he isn't as thorough as he was and seems to be rushing me out when i'm there. he doesn't take the time to take my blood pressure or check regular things he used to every visit. i hope he has just been busy and this will stop or my family will be changing doctors and i really don't want to do that. he doesn't even deliver babies anymore
