After multiple surgies in Philadelphia, with horrible experiences , I decided to switch to Dr. McManus. She was so caring and made me feel like I was human and not just “a patient”. She spent a lot of time explaining everything. Breast cancer is so scary, and we trust our doctors. I am scheduled for a double mastectomy with her, and I feel at ease knowing she will be performing this surgery. I feel she is an angel sent to me after what I have been through. Yes, she and her staff are very busy, because Dr. McManus is so wonderful.
Sincerely,
Teresa Vollrath

They don't come any better than Dr. McManus. Knowledgeable, compassionate, personable, and she tells it like it is. I love her!

I just love Dr. McManus. She is kind, caring and knowledgeable. She takes the time to explain her findings and listens to the patient's questions. Her bedside manner is wonderful. The only criticism I would make is that sometimes you wind up seeing the nurse navigator instead of Dr. McManus for a scheduled routine follow-up appointment. However, I always come away from my appointments feeling that not only did I see my doctor, I saw my friend.

Highly recommend this surgeon. Professional, warm, caring, compassionate, up to the minute info. and knowledge. Referred me to a wonderful onc. as well. Staff leaves something to be desired; they get away with incompetence as well as arrogance in her office and tend to block her from her patients if you call in for an important question. If I have a question, I want to speak to the doctor, NOT the staff.

Dr. McManus is the best! She has a tremendous amount of experience and is very knowledgeable. Her diagnosis of my breast cancer was spot on and she successfully removed it. While her style is unemotional, she has a lot of compassion and truly cares about saving lives. She saved mine and I am very thankful.

I'm a currently a patient of Dr. Macmanus. I have never seen an incompetent office staff in my life. They never Ever call you back. The gave the hospital staff the wrong breast for my biopsy ! They never sent me my prescription. They never call you back. The yelled at me for being late 20 minutes ( I got lost the office is on a side street and I live over 40 min away) . I found another lump in the middle of my treatment and I called to make an appt - no call back ! They are rude, unsupportive and provoke a very negative atmosphere . As far ad the doctors credentials I wouldn't know , I only saw her for a few minutes and did talk to her once on the phone . She had no bedside manner but at least seemed intelligent. It's unfortunate , but if I need more treatment after this biopsy I will avoid the office staff completely and transfer to a new doctor . There is something clearly wrong with the office. A very very bad way to treat a patient with a life threatening illness . Shame!

Very disappointing. Dr. McManus came recommended and seemed concerned about my situation until I told her about the opinion I received from another doctor. Her demeanor turned from nice to nasty. She wouldn't listen to what I had to say, and she practically threw me out of the office with my films. Because of that terrible experience, I went directly to New York City and received the "BEST" care by one of the higest-rated surgeons in the country. New York City doctors welcome the opinions of other doctors and recommend that you get more than one opinion. I am now in the best care possible.
