Years back, Baum performed two otoplasties on me and two blepharoplasties on my mother and the results looked like this man had never performed plastic surgery in his life. The results were horrible. He left my mother with uneven eyelids, severe scarring and nerve damage. It was something out of a horror movie. Thank goodness she was able to find an eye specialist here in canada to fix his mistakes as best as possible. It scares me that he even wanted a third go at her. Any revision requires a specialist yet he was willing to keep performing surgery on her like it was nothing. With me, he told me that otoplasty was a straight forward surgery and he pinned my ears to my head. Otoplasty is a surgery with an incredibly high success rate. In my opinion, if you cant properly pin an ear back, you have no business practicing as a plastic surgeon. I went to numerous other surgeons and was told to go back to Baum so I reluctantly did. After the second surgery, he left my right ear with horrible scarring and a hole behind it and the left was still overcorrected with a stitch protruding out of the antihelix. I am now in the process of traveling to an ear reconstruction specialist with years of otoplasty revision experience to fix his mistakes which will now cost a good chunk of money. I personally feel Baum is a horrible plastic surgeon and wouldn't even recommend him to my worst enemy. His results, in my opinion, were of those of a subpar surgeon at best with very limited experience. Allowing this man to attempt plastic surgery on me and my mother was definitely a horrible experience for the both of us.

Have been to Dr Baum on numerous occasions. My husband too. Always found him and his staff very helpful and efficient. Does amazing plastic surgery. Husband has had a few operations on his face and can’t really tell for Basel cells and a squamous cell.

went to see doctor for a scheduled appointment however can't really say how the doctor is, never got to see him, had to return back to work, after waiting approx 3 hours, inquired how much longer it may be found out that my file kept getting moved to bottom of the pile and could be another 2 hours or more not to mention all the staff would say was they are very busy, they should have advised that I needed to book the whole day off work for my scheduled appointment.

Underwent Carpal Tunnel surgery recently and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was even though I was so afraid. From the consultation to the phone reminder day before surgery to the staff at the hospital over all experience was great. Can't wait to get my other hand done in the near future.

This is the second time I have seen Dr. Baum and I must say he is very thorough and he was very self explanatory. I must say he has the most excellent bedside manner! So glad my family physician recommended him.

Dr. Baum performed the skin graft to fix a large open wound to my leg and was a part of my treatment during a terribly traumatic time in my life, not only did he treat me with respect but he clearly explained reality to me, at no time seemed to condescend and was very friendly and genuine. He also respected my intelligence and personal opinions and allowed me input regarding choices for my medical procedure. Absolutely a stellar Doctor and person.

Nice man, and very attentive, but he's absolutely no "artist" when it comes to reconstructive surgery. If you need anything done cosmetically, then you need to see someone else. I still have crooked and uneven scars from sloppy stitches and incisions which I've had to have corrected elsewhere. This, after I allowed him THREE opportunities to fix the problem.
