Dr.Bordson was wonderful! She takes time to listen and explains everything until I understand it.
I had a miscarriage and she was there for me, I got pregnant 16 months later and had a healthy baby girl. She watched me carefully and helped me through the entire pregnancy.
She is a credit to her profession!

My wife and I had an absolutely horrible experience. We typically both see another doctor from the same practice however this specific appointment was scheduled expeditiously and it so happened that Dr. Bordson was the on-call doctor. When it was determined that my wife was in the process of a miscarriage I expected at least a little sympathy/empathy and instead we were handed a black folder of papers. While I can respect receiving the “clinical” information I also expect that someone practicing in Obstetrics/Gynecology would have at least a small amount of bedside manner. We weren’t asked if we had any questions at any point. We were taken to another room where my wife received a pelvic exam. The doctor came in accompanied by someone that we had never seen before. She didn’t introduce herself or speak for the entire time. It wasn’t taken in to consideration during the pelvic exam or vaginal ultrasound that my wife was in an extreme amount of pain. (I understand that an exam might have been necessary, or maybe not, but consideration for the patient shouldn’t be too much to ask for). In fact the doctor didn’t even attempt an abdominal ultrasound prior to the invasive procedure. Even after the in office ultrasound, due to the dated equipment, we still had to go to a woman’s clinic for use of an updated machine. (On a side note the ultrasound technician there was amazing, attempted an abdominal ultrasound first and then explained why it wouldn’t provide the view she needed. She was even apologetic when she knew that a couple of positions were painful). As the doctor was walking out the door, literally she was standing in the door way, I asked if we could at least determine the pregnancy wasn’t ectopic. She just said she didn’t know. There was no discussion on what my wife could take for the pain. No standard procedure about following the HCG levels back to zero…nothing. We then had to schedule a follow up (even though we weren’t told what we were “following up” for). I specifically asked to see our normal doctor however I was told that it was customary to see the same doctor. After thinking about this we decided to call the office back and let them know we weren’t comfortable following up with Dr. Bordson. The appointment scheduler and nursing manager had to ask permission for us to see our own doctor (even after I reiterated the circumstance and the fact that most likely this would be our last appointment due to the miscarriage). The nurse manager did make it a point to ask why we weren’t comfortable (not sure why this mattered as I should be able to schedule an appointment with the doctor I choose) and took the time to apologize for the circumstance. I told her that this was the first time anyone from her office said they were sorry. I didn’t even need them to really mean it, it didn’t even need to be sincere, we just needed to hear it. Shame on me for agreeing to see the on-call doctor, I should have read other reviews as our experience seems to be a pattern among other patients. We can draw a positive from this experience. Moving forward we’ve decided to look in to midwifes and birthing centers. At a minimum we will locate an office that has a passion for the patient and their physical and emotional well-being.

During pregnancy you are required to see a different doctor for every visit. I wanted to go to Nkc because I live close. I lasted two visits and every time my concerns were ignore and I was told another doctor would deal with it. They did meet with me to tell me that I should pay them now for a delivery in 7 months. After my insurance they tell me I would owe $200 and I need to pay now. So, I couldn't get anyone to talk to me about my physical health, but they were sure interested in the money they wanted for something 7 months away and that seems like a rather trivial amount in the overall scheme of things. I have switched practices and am much happier. Look around, there are better practices in town.

Dr. Bordson has always been considerate and compassionate towards myself and my family. Medically speaking I have not always been one of her "easier" patients, but she has always provided me with the best care possible and more importantly she has treated with individuality and concern. I know that having her by my "bedside" that I can get through anything. I can't express my appreciation enough, but thank you Dr. Bordson...you're the best!

I had a bleeding scare at 15 wks. preg that sent me to the ER one night. Baby was fine, but they insisted I see my OB the next day. It took 4 hrs & 3 phone messages (each of my messages more frantic) before anyone called me back, then I couldn't even be seen by a dr; I had to drive to the other side of town to see a nurse practitioner. When I discussed this w/Dr. Bordson at my next appt, she just brushed me off. She was also supposed to follow up w/a previous OB of mine to obtain some info on an issue that might require me to have a c-section. I asked her at every monthly appt. for 3 months if she'd gotten an answer (I want to know if I'm having a c-section!), and to date she has not gotten around to it. You are not taken seriously at this practice, & there is NO urgency in emergency situations. The staff is just awful; you can NEVER speak to a live person, not even to schedule an appt. Then you only get a return phone call about 75% of the time, on average 3-5 hrs. later.
