I made a visit to Dr Dhumale in Feb/2003 for a out of hours appointment with my sickly 11 month old baby boy. In a very dimly lit room on a cold winter evening he took a brief look at my son and diagnosed chicken pox.His words still echoe today "that's chicken pox my dear, give him calpol". I left the surgery feeling very stupid and inadequate as a mother, i believed my son to be very ill and imagine how stupid i felt when a health care professional told me it's only chicken pox.The only thing was my son was actually suffering from menengitis b with septicemia blood poisoning. He spend the next 2 weeks fighting for his life. Today 10 years on he still suffers and is registered mentally disabled thanks for the life sentence Dr Dhumale.
