Terrible doctor. Saw him today & all he did was yell at his staff. Walked away from me when I tried to ask questions.

Dr Young did a fine job removing a growth. However, at the results appointment, a result of deeply invasive melanoma, he was laughing and joking, cursed and was dismissive. When we asked him what type of melanoma, he was irritated, flipped open is file and told us "superficial spreading". Only when receiving the pathology report did we learn it was not that type at all. He told us not to read anything and ushered us out the door. Im sure he is a fine plastic surgeon, but he is a gross human being.

After seeing another plastic surgeon to remove a mole, and feeling belittled and left with a big ugly scar, I can say I highly recommend Dr. Young.

While he was obviously very busy, and running quite behind, Dr. Young took the time to go over the procedure, and answer any questions I had. Even though he had to remove a larger chunk in order to remove the previous scar, he stitched me back up in a way that the scar is now much nicer.

Overall would definitely recommend

Didn’t like him, got gynecosmastia surgery done five years ago and he took out way 2 much of the gland so it left me with an indent.. went back and he said “oh that’s just the way your chest is shaped” went to a few other surgeons that told me he botched the surgery, it’s what I get for going to surgeons that cover it with ohip I guess.

Dr.Young is approachable and has a great sense of humour. He took great care of my injury and felt secure in the decisions made.

I had a breast reduction done by Dr Young about 3 years ago. During the initial consult I asked him to bring me down as small as possible. He told me he would do what he could but that he could only go so small without me losing my nipples. I did my own research after the surgery and found that this was a lie, that people can get full mastectomies and still keep their nipples with a nipple graft, which was what I had during my surgery. When I requested to go as small as possible Dr Young made inappropriate comments about my appearance, saying that "most women would not want to go below a C because it would be unattractive". I told him I did not care how "attractive" it would be, that I still wanted to go as small as possible. Fast forward to our post-surgery appointment, I told him that he barely reduced me in size, that I had gone only from a DDD to a D (I got myself measured before the appointment), and that I had requested to go smaller. He then proceeded to gaslight me and tell me that my breasts were "not possibly a D cup" and that they "looked to be a B cup" to him. He said to wait until the swelling went down to determine my actual size but surprise! 3 years later and I am still measured as a D cup.

Before my surgery I had quite big areolas and while he was doing the nipple graft he grafted smaller than my areolas but left the remaining darker areola skin and did not remove it, so now my breasts look strange. I was told I would have to come back and pay extra to have this areola skin removed, which I was not informed of until after my surgery.

Overall, Dr Young is an incredible misogynist and predatory surgeon. I am not surprised that a man in the field of plastic surgery expects women to value their "attractiveness" over their personal comfort. I have informed my family doctor about my experiences and he has agreed to never refer anyone to Dr Young again.

Absolutely love this doctor. Had a breast reduction done by him recently. I am only 35 but have been waiting to have it done for over 2 years ( done through OHIP and then surgery postponed due to COVID). He made me feel unbelievably comfortable especially considering I was one of the first surgeries done during Phase 2 of COVID. He has a super laid back personality but at the same time is still so knowledgeable and puts you at ease. Would recommend him to anyone. And my breasts look great!!! Lol

Dr. Young is an profesional and freindly doctor who has surgically excisised/electrically cauterized numerous flat moles from my skin with minimal visible scarring, THANK YOU DOCTOR YOUNG YOU ARE AMAZING!!!

He is one of those doctors who gets what being a doctor actually means. He is one of my favourite doctors.
