My family and I have been going to Dr. Di Maria's office since the very beginning. And over the years for the most part she's been a very kind person always trying to do her very best however in the last few years.
I've noticed a huge difference in her practice. I'm not really sure why if it's because she's overworked. Doesn't have proper Staffing to accommodate her practice. But definitely she is not alert and not on top of things like she used to be. I could probably handle the fact that I may have to wait for her on any given appointment. But when she isn't able to diagnose someone properly. That's when we all should be concerned!
The last experience that we had with her has left me speechless and unable to continue having her as my family doctor. All I can say is that when a patient is telling you they're having certain symptoms. And continuously tells you the same thing for years. And you don't even think of exploring the reasons why. That should be concerning to everyone that deals with Dr. Di Maria. As wonderful as she is l think it's time for retirement!
I had a difficult time writing this but I had to because it's important that everyone knows that she not able to do her job effectively.

Great doctor, and as much as I hate saying this, I think in the next little while she should stop practicing or get another dr to share seeing her patients. I have been seeing Dr Di Maria for many years, and she is truly amazing. I think every doctor should be just like her. However, the problem is I think she is overworked. I’ve noticed now on a few occasions she seems overwhelmed. Doesn’t spend too much time reviewing my file, and I’ll have to remind her about a few things. A few of my appointments that I scheduled in advanced I should add, I’ve had to wait more than 30 min and was told by secretary that “she is behind on schedule.” I get it, it happens, but I find that it is happening more often. I leave work early or step out of work to come quickly to then wait more than 30 min? My last appointment I overheard someone who was waiting to see her who seemed to have gotten squeezed in, and they were seen before me! I don’t think that’s fair. The patient seemed upset and was making a scene to see the dr, but nonetheless I don’t think it’s fair for others. I’m not one to say anything, but I should have at that moment.
It seems that a lot of her patients are elderly, so I could imagine there’s a lot of complexity with that, more of a reason to get another dr to help.
I’ve also noticed her patience when she is with you in the room is a little shorter than it used to be. I don’t know maybe it’s because it towards the end or the day for her, I’m not sure.

The staff is awful, rude and unhelpful. They never call when they get my results. It’s so bad I’m switching doctors after 10 years.

I have been Dr. DiMarias patient for 25 years. I’m thankful to have her in my life. She has seen me through 4 pregnancies and is the doctor to my four children. She most recently encouraged me to have a routine mammogram where I discovered very early stages of breast cancer. Glad I listened to her as I am recovering well now.

Dr. DiMaria is a very compassionate doctor who does not talk down to you or make you feel like she is rushing you out of the office. The new office she moved into at beginning of 2018 and shares with a Pediatrician, is very bright, clean and cheerful. The new receptionists they have are very kind and responsive in person and when answering and speaking on the phone. I have been a patient of hers for approximately 10 years and am grateful to have her as my doctor. I do not mind being referred to specialists when concerns arise. Her title is General Practitioner and so I expect to be referred to specialist if I have an ongoing issue so it can be looked at in depth by a specialist and not left to worsen.

Dr. DiMaria is one of the nicest doctors for sure, but I must agree about the dismissive receptionists and about how she tends to not remember much about your previous history which a cursory glance at my charts would clarify for her. Moreover, she has always been really big on pushing the specialist angle. This is not new. I agree with the assessment of her as a gatekeeper for the rest of the specialized doctors.

If you are looking for a kind and compassionate doctor, she's what you need. I just wish there was a bit more of an attempt to review my file - even just a little bit - before she began to see me.

Have a look through these comments...most say the same thing. She's a nice lady and a caring doctor, but the office is hard to get hold of, the phones are always busy, and her front office staff is rude.

It's been going on for years, as these comments attest, and the situation hasn't changed one bit. She's caring, she's nice, and her office staff hides behind the glass - probably quite busy sure, but with very little patience and empathy for the patients concerns, or the often lengthy delays.

Where there's smoke, there's fire....and this many commenters can't all be wrong.

The ONLY thing negative I have to say about Dr DiMaria is that she tends to just refer people to specialists these days. Less ongoing care, and more "stack em in" style appointments, just to get referred to someone else. A bit of a gatekeeper to the rest of the medical world.
