I liked the staff and never came across any issues with any of them.

Dr. Nguyen had been my dentist since I was a little girl and always made feel self-conscious about the appearance of my teeth. When I was about 11-12, he told me I needed braces, saying it would be very beneficial if I were referred to an orthodontist, and he then urged me to speak to my parents about it. For a long time I begged for my parents to allow me to get braces, but my parents simply could not afford it. My parents had found it very unprofessional of him to discuss my needing braces with me over them given they were financially responsible.

All in all, when I was 20 I finally decided to change dentists, I started making my appointments with Dr. Thain who was so compassionate, kind and willing to explain certain procedures to you. Never dramatisised anything and made me feel more confident about the appearance of my teeth.

I found this Dr. to be unapproachable and humorless. He suggested I 'wait and see' how my gum disease progressed before consulting a specialist. Then at my next visit he scolded me for not going to a specialist sooner. In his notes he had written "Patient refuses to see specialist" which is entirely untrue.

Although always friendly,has become more and more a money making business. Wants to do everything that is pre-approved by your insurance whether you want it, need it or will use it (appliances). Wants visits four months apart since it's "best", regardless of what your insurance plan approves, and makes you feel awful if you don't do it! Hygenists also make you feel badly when they do their part - "tell" you what you shouldn't eat or drink because of what it does to your teeth, even though they obviously don't follow their own advice. Receptionists are usually friendly and do online claim submissions so your insurance refund is always fast. A big change in atmosphere in the last couple of years.
