I Have been going to South Shore Eye Care for well over 5 years now and I absolutely love the place. I have dealt with 3 of the Dr's there but finally settled in on Dr. Lane. They are all good but he in my opinion is the icing on the cake. He has done nothing but help me out and now sees my wife, father, and uncle. The past year I have experienced a very aggressive eye infection that he has cared for and fortunately cured. He told me from day one it was going to be a lengthy road to curing it so I knew what to expect. I was seeing him weekly because he wanted to make sure it was healing and not getting worse, he was very concerned about preventive care on top of curing it. During the process I had two set backs that required emergency visits in which he was able to see me on 1 hour notice and the second on literally 15min notice. I cannot say enough about him or the staff. Dr. lane makes the office in my opinion. The office including the Dr. even spent time to help me find alternative meds that were covered by my insurance to save me money and were able to get me discount cards for medication that was not covered.

Dr. Lane performed Laser Cataract Surgery in both of my eyes and I am extremely satisfied with the results and the procedure. He was attentive and informative throughout. The office staff were very helpful and efficient as well as pleasant. I can highly recommend Dr. Howard A. Lane and South Shore Eye Care!

As a younger person with cataracts I was a little concerned as to the process. Dr. Lane couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. He was has a wonderful bedside manner and the surgery went so smoothly. The office and surgical staff was great and I cant say enough wonderful things about this office and Dr. Lane

I was extremely happy with Dr. Lane. First, I was very happy with the ease of making an emergency appointment and then the follow up appointments. Then I could not believe how little the wait time was! I wasn't even done with the 3 short pages of paperwork I had to fill out before they called me in! I had already gone to 2 other doctors that week and had to wait over an hour for both and here, it was less than a 2 minute wait. What a nice change for once. Then he came in and instantly has a calming presence. He was very thorough, clearly explained what my condition was (corneal infiltrations), and answered all of my questions. He was extremely knowledgeable and upbeat, which is amazing in a doctor to have both the experience AND good bedside manner. HIGHLY recommend. The courteousness of the staff could improve a bit over the phone and smile a little more but was good overall.

Recently had PRK (laser vision corrective surgery), great doctor, the surgery seem to go very well since after only 5 days I'm seeing clearer than I ever have, even with contacts. Spends time with you answering all your questions, and would recommend to all.
